Does anyone know what type of paint one would use to spray crankbaits for bass fishing(also to put a thick clear coat on bait)? I am new to arbrshing but fishing is old hat, want to paint my own baits as some of the custom baits go for as much as $50-$75 Bucks. Thanks guys :worship: p.s would eypoxy be an option?

I did some lures for a guy I used to work with a few years back, just used straight Auto Air... no clear coat. Seemed to last ok... I scuffed the tiny area that he wanted painting first though.
Spose it'd depend on what yer catching too...A Musky or pike will tare up the best made lures...But ya can catch bass on a hook with dog hair tied to it..hahaha!
If it were me I'd Airbrush with a good paint..(loads of em out there)..Then Clear with Auto uros:D
