Personally,, I'd take a striping brush and outline it !!!
With the flames you've got there,, could even put a
double stripe on it in two colors !!!
If you're wanting brite,,, chrome yellow/process blue !!!
More a monotone,, magenta/dark magenta !!!
I'd use 1-shot enamels on this,,, but each his own !!!
That would finalize what you've got so far !!!

Wombat,
I think you need to decide what type of fire your trying to paint here.
Is it tradional oldschool flamework or true fire?.. kinda looks caught between the 2.

Either way you need to push the color along way.. looks very washy.

Old school Flames with pinstriping.. still push your color a bit buddy.

Here's what I'd use !!!
I usually use the #00 & #000 brushes on
motorcycle/auto,,,
I use the #0 & #1 on 18 wheelers for a
larger stripe for a larger surface !!!
