Hi everybody, I'm still just a finger painter and just signed up yesterday. This a great site. I posted these pics in the introduce page but figured I would get alot more fire enthusiasts here. Here's a pic of my very first fire and then my fourth try.

Thanks for the pos comments. Like I posted in the introduce forum, I did these 4 fires, a stretched skull, flaming skull and some beveled flames. And with some createx paints I did Jason Pouty's evil clown, and Cory St. Claires Joker. I've still got a long way to go, but hey I'm just gettin started!

Here ya go cowboy. I think Jason Pouty's evil clown is so freaky lookin that I just had to try and paint it.This painting is for my own intentional use only.

Thanks guys it really means alot to me. I've only done 5 or 6 other pieces this year and those were just in the last month. I did do a couple practices last year but they stunk so I kinda hung it up. About a month ago is when I was looking at my ab mag and seen Cory St. Claires Joker and then it sort of hit me-BAM! So I used his pic as a ref and I totally shocked myself at how it actually looked not half bad for just starting out. And here I am joining a forum group and trying to really learn this stuff.
I wish they had forums around when I 1st got into it...I was just guessing at things for years.:frustrated:...This place has helped me more than I could imagine.
Keep it up and stick around, always cool to see what peeps at any skill level come up with.

The hardest part for me is that I've never actually seen anybody ab in person. I've got a ton of vids that I watch and try and learn from these guys.

Same here Boss...Been playing with an AB since I was 12, (now 32)..Still never seen another person do anything with an AB..... no biggie, their trigger finger woks just like mine..hahaha!...I don't watch videos either, (maybe 2 in all my years) never a fan really...Just reading, learning and practicing..it'll get ya where ya wanna go:clapping2:

I'd really like to find a good book on ab. I'm 38 and just finding out now that I might be pretty good at this with more practice. I just had shoulder surgery in may and I was getting bored not doing anything, that's when I figured it could'nt hurt to start learning to ab. It still hurts my shoulder trying to hold the ab for awhile, but I live through it.

I bought a book when I was in my Teens...Was cool to see all the pictures and such..But nothing in there helped me...Same with magazines, got my hands on a few somewhere down the line..Again it was awesome to see works from around the world...But didn't do much for me..
I can easily say just shooting the breeze with all these great Artists here has helped more than anything I've found:D

I have a full time job and try to make signs on the side and now add ab to the mix. I was just going through my pics and found this sign I did last year. Tried to ab the chrome effect, that was the only reason I bought an ab was for lettering and shadows. Who knew doing art work would be so rewarding.

the fire and beveled flames are HOK, the evil clown is createx and the sign is latex paints with some createx.

Hey Sharon, The fire that you are talking about in the beginning of this forum were both done in hok, I just cleared the better looking pic with some krylon clear. Just for kicks, tomorrow I'll throw some clear on that very first fire and see if it knocks it up a notch.

Thanks Luzer. Well I just happened to find my very first ab skull and funky flames. Also here's a hog sign I made with hdu dripping ice ab with blue. I originally wanted to make fire but thought the ice was way cooler!
