Sounds as though you have paint clogged some where, need to strip it down and make sure its all clean.
Nothing wrong with the VL, has always been a good reliable brush.

Yep , Like Andy said. Make sure its good & clean, Paints strained , Gasket on the bottles good , & the Blow holes clear in the top of the cap . Also check the bottom of the Suction tube, It May be to close to the bottom , & I Like Mine cut to a lil angle just to make sure its clear. Best of luck .
Indeed, they covered it....Unless yer AB is clogged to no tomorrow or broke..One of those things (or a combination) has to be the issue...I'd say.

I agree its not because of the airbrush brand.

Ahh... but Paashe... those dang cones would split on me tooooo often! Then again... I was workin at a park and would try and force out the hard bits instead of take it all apart! Thought that was saving me time! But it's the worst ya can do!! Give it a good bath and try again. I learned on a Paasche. Good brush to start out!!!!

ok, HOLD IT... theres 'clean' and there is SOAK this sucker and get all the goop out.. Createx paint? or similar? they make a paint restorer? or Auto Air does, will loosen all the little that you cant see bits of paint everywhere and get it out.. DO NOT SOAK THE air valve..

could also be a leak in the head assembly. look see if when you spray if there are bubbles in the paint bottle.
Paache VL's are great airbrushes....

You might also put some soapy solution around the needle and nozzle caps when you try to spray. If you start seeing bubble forming around the front of the airbrush, then your brush is leaking air out rather than forcing it through the nozzle cap. This can be because your nozzle cap isn't well sealed, and or because it is so plugged up that air is forced to go out whatever the next easiest exit or exits are.
You should also make sure your airhose is not leaking. That is the one thing the Paasche brand has been notorious for, leaking air out around the hose fitting at the brush end of the hose.
