nice job on making it look 3D.. need to shadow the skull a little more it loks flat. but it might be the pic..

One thing that helps a bunch on shadows is not much use of pure white or pure black......Instead mix slight shades of both...White would be the very brightest highlight..as it fades down to black, use shades of off white instead of trying to fade black to make it darker...Gives it much more realism.

Looks to be Craig Fraser inspired, that is exactly what he does at alot of his one day seminars

Yep, it is. next year I want to attend the 4 day workshops with either Craig Fraser or Javier Soto. I've got a bunch of their vids and those guys rock!
