Well folks, it will be Superbowl Sunday.... as Dan Jenkins once wrote "wake me up when its over, I already know who won; CBS!".
Anyway if you want to post early because you will be off somewhere on Sunday, scarfing down hot wings and cold beer and gettin' all scuffed up by a gravel truck on the way home, then post before you go! Denise, don't forget, Prince (gag) is the half time entertainment, so enjoy! :cheeky-smiley-006:
Enjoy the Sunday art show, post when you can this week, and thanks for supporting a terrific artists' archive! We look forward to this weeks show, already have seen some great stuff posted elsewhere this week!
Cheers, Scott

I may have to watch half time JUST for that...Denise isn't the only one babe...
Okay,,, guess I'll start this one off !!!
First,, let me say,,, I been in a slump airbrushin !!!
Daughter needed a "Tiger" shirt for "Tiger Day"
at school,,, figured this to be an opprotunity to
get off my butt and do something !!!
Figured something quick,,, in a hurry,,, sooooo,,
anybody ever pick up a bottle of color and forget
to make sure the breather hole is open ???
I tend to backflush first to open the paint tube
but in this case,, just pressured up the bottle !!!
Layed out a basic,, started the color,, HOT PINK
for the under base,, and when started to change
colors,,, SQUIRRRRRRRRT !!!
Okay,, now I got a hot pink streak right across
the front of this tiger's head,,, so,,, what to do ???
Nothin,,, just leave it,,, go with tha flo,,, so,,,
that's the explaination for the hot pink streak
across the front of this thing !!!
It was already messed up so I just finished it out
to get a wearable T and that's my excuse for what
I'm posting here,,, OH,, an I got a cold,, so not
feelin too hot (other than pink) and that's my
excuse,, and I'm stickin with it !!!
First pic is WHEN IT HAPPENED,,, second is what
I ended up with,,, been a ruff week I'm tellin ya !!!

Hope you feel better soon!

LOL, Whit, I can't believe you AB'd a new piece, and it rocks! Jeez, that's it, can I hire you to airbrush some stuff for me? Lol..... Nice work, but I would LOVE to hear the pink streak explanation to the customer, daughter or not! You're right though, the piece works fine.
By the way, hope you're feeling better! Tea with whisky, or whatever Lynne recommends!

Whahey.. my first submission for this section :)
Had this project for far too long a time but at last it's back together and the customer's picking it up on Monday. The painting itself wasn't too bad but the stripping down and rebuilding took an age.
The gold seat and trim don't exactly match the rest of the machine now but I'll leave that to the owner to mull over - my work here is done... woohoo!!!
Onto the next one now... I'll hopefull have a few smaller projects in time for next week.

Grant, lol, I'm right in the middle of painting a 'jack' on a triumph cafe style bike...too funny. will post later today, when I'm done sodding about.
I don't have anything new....Be stuck on bodywork till spring er so..Might get lucky and squeeze in a helmet or tank soon??...(never know)
Thought i'd take Whits suggestion and post an oldie..
I just used this image to get some new cards made up...Should be kinda unique for a card anyway.....This is on a blank car Tag, i did up last Summer...Guess the only real challenge of this was cutting the lettering...I'm all old Skool, So it's Razor blades and sore fingers...Think i've gotten pretty good at cutting that way over the years....Still jones'in fer a Plotter though, hehe!
So anyway nothing special, i think it's gonna make a cool Card so i'm looking forward to that....Happy Friday all!!

Heh... I always seem to be doing them. Union Jacks, chequered flags, Union Jacks fading into chequered flags, flags flapping in the wind, flags with tattered edges...
I've got some skulls to do next week which will make a nice change :)

Lynne, now, now. This is beautiful! I love it and since you actually said "sodding" in an earlier post, you are winning me over, lol. Spent two months in London once, by myself. I walked so much I wore out two pairs of good sneakers. Amazing, still affects my life. It was a sodding tragedy! Lol.......

Why, when I see this, do I have the sudden urge to run out and buy contact lenses??? Where the hell did that come from??? Sorry, some brain twist. Clinton, stop it, you make me want to give up. Set up that easel my friend, not for a paint off, but for a quick lesson!

Hi Henry, thanks for posting in the Art Show! Sir, can I ask you an honest question? Have you been tracking your progress? From you first post, and the subsequent bummed out time, then the decision to stick with it, wow. This is very nice, you need to take great pride on your perserverance and great progress! Kid, you're gonna go places!

Alternatively you could replace 'sodding' with 'chuffing' to achieve doffed hats in your direction from those of us of the English persuasion. Not so much Scottish, Welsh or Irish though. Could do with some alternatives from there...

There's quite a lot of watersports around the UK, what with it being an island and all that. However, this jetski's heading to Cyprus after it's had some work done on the engine in a couple of weeks.
I'm a bit nervous about how the new paint will cope with all the sea water sloshing about on and in it though...

Lol, I'm half welsh...cymru am byth and all that.
I may be doing a Jet Ski in the near future... but it won't get exposed to salt water. Great Lakes and all...
I'll never forget walking around London on my own, it was spring, sun was shining, and all was great with the world...I 'round a corner, and there's a load of cheerleaders from a town next to the one I lived in....in the US. I almost ran away screaming.
I miss it...I haven't been 'home' (a relative term) for nearly 10 years.

Well it has been a busy week and I did not get anything done other that picking up some AA paints to have a go at hard surfaces. The quality of work posted gets better each week. Good for everyone. I will add a couple older panels I did to add to the viewing pleasures I hope. Also a practice critter that I just liked......
Lynne and GPHood, good stuff on both projects. Customers will be drawing attention on both.
Everyone is putting up good work. Too many to say each name and the good work done.
I posted this earlier but I couldn't leave it alone. From where I set I don't know if it was an improvement or not. Got more practice in either way.
Thanks for posting and looking,
Clem

did a bunch this week, here are 3 of the 5 projects i got done, the gold tank is my computer case which i still need to stripe, the blue front fender i got permission from clinton to use the pose of his toilet seat cover, the other is a simple lightning job with some skulls.
also did an electrical service panel that is painted to look like a glass extinguisher case that has a bottle of jack daniels in it half empty and the glass says in case of emergency, break glass, and the glass is broken.
i will get pics of that when it get back from the shop.....

Here's what I've been up to since 4a.m.
Question for you Steve, do you lay down the lettering in paint mask, then do the illustration, then peel the letters? Beautiful polar bears, by the way!
sdriscoll
02-04-2007, 11:18 AM
Yes, That's exactly how I did it. I have other lettering on the rest of the car and will do some like that and some I will spray after I put the artwork on. It depends on where on the car it is and the lettering size. It's easier to put down letters on a curved surface than it is to put the mask to spray letters.
p.s. I try to work early on the weekends so I can spend more time with my kids( 17 and 12)
p.p.s. Josie, nice job on the eye on page 3

Well, my small contribution. My 2nd T, but really my first serious attempt. 1st was a quick trial, never intended to be finished. This is the late Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead, his final tour before his death......
Good looking T Dog. Goes along with the other great posts.
Well worth the watching all the contributions coming in.

This would be my first contribution to the sunday show...This study is on black drawing paper and was completed this past week while visiting Guy...

Okey folks, on a day I thought would be slow, we posted and archived a great body of works, again very diverse, and very interesting and inspiring. Thanks to all of you artists for you participation and comments.
I will be travelling next week, but should be able to find a connection and plug in for a while! See you next week, thank again, you are making this the best airbrush gathering on the web!
