Does anyone still use a Crescendo? I have one thats from their first release, back in the late 80's. Still works better than others. Also, what about the gravity feed knockoffs found everywhere, as in Airbrush city, and others on ebay from places like TCPglobal, etc.

LOL, got 2, just because I was starting out, and Michaels had a 40% off coupon.. and agree, my OLDER sprays better than the NEWER, yet I changed tips and needles. the older STILL lays down a better line.
Got a new iwata on recommendation, used it 45 seconds and it and me didnt see eye to eye, traded it off.

I've got three different sets of tips/needles for the brush. After getting back into a.b. ing and resurrecting my old stuff, it turns out this was the only one among a Paasche VL, a Thayer and Chandler something, a 1st generation Aztek and some other something that was worth it. The Paasche sadly died a horrible death, having been flung against a wall after ruining several projects. Or, was it just me?
So, now I have a cheap Iwata knockoff or two, and as long as I'm scrupulous with the after use cleaning using auto paint, they work rather well. But the Crescendo, which I was originally intimidated by years ago, is becoming my favorite.

It sure is a personal thing..
I have an old VL that I havent blown the dust off of in probably 10 years...garbage as far as I'm concerned...
there is no substitute for Iwata quality. They have such a broad range of brushes for different applications, AND they are custom designed for automotive use as well. (teflon coated o-rings, solvent proof parts, etc...)
This is my humble opinion...
I had a Badger Anthem 155 a few years back...took about 12 seconds to realize the only thing it was good for was...well...nothing!

Iwata rules!!
