Here are a few pics of what I braved the -10 degree weather to come in and work on this morning. It is a 67 Corvette from Middle Tennessee State University. It is the worlds first Ethanol car developed at the University quite a few years ago. Valspar and Tractor Supply Co. are sponsoring the car and I am muraling it from front to back with an Earth friendly Aquatic theme. It starts tropical in the front and works it's way to polar in the rear. I'll post update pics.

If you don't mind me asking how long did the rear section take, looks like most of it was freehand? And are you using uros for the hard surfaces? Thanks.

Very nice work Steve! 10 degree weather and you're painting polarbears and icebergs.
It seems like it would of been a good day to paint flames!:flame:

Steve -
Beautiful work. That is a fiberglass body, right? did that make any difference in your technique?

I have about 20 hours into it and am just about done. I am using House of Kolor and Valspar basecoats for the paint. The onle thing to do different when you work on fiberglass is you need to use a fast or medium reducer so when the static attracts the overspray it is dry and won't stickto the surface. I also tackthe area off VERY often so as not to get too much of an overspray build up.

Looks good, Steve.
Can't wait to see it all finished.
I agree, the polar bears are my favorite too.
I'm surprised that you didn't use AA for the artwork, so you wouldn't have the static issue to deal with....yeah, you just like a good challenge.:wink2:
