hey all
well i have decided to give hok paints a try...okay i have only sprayed water based until now createx ,,auto air,,,etac,,....so my question is what do you use to clean out your spray gun with these types of paints?????
i should have my kit this week...
also what cleaning procedure do you use as well ?????

laquer thinner is what I use I buy a gallon and it lasts forever
Same here Ron.. I use a cheap lacquer thinner for cleaning... I flush it through until it blows clean.. I cut a hole in a large plastic jug and shoved a bunch of cotton rags in there. Its what works for me.

yup, lacquer thinner is the stuff. I buy it in five gallon cans. I go through a bit more than average because I use it for my full size guns as well. Through the very nice people at my local auto paint supply I get 5 gallons for around 35 bucks. If I buy one gallon I pay around 12 bucks. Doesn't make any sense for me to buy one gallon at a time. But the answers given are correct.
Same here...Bout $12 a gallon around here too.
