Hi iam wondering if i can do soda blasting or media blasting via traditional sandblaster unit ? If so where could i purchase the soda or media iam located about 30 minutes north of toronto. My main concern is that there is no panel warping any info or suggestions would help:)

You wont get panel warp if you sandblast correctly, never been an issue with anything i've done. You just have to make sure you don't stay in one spot too long and blast at a 45 deg angle. I use #1 sand for light stuff and #3 for heavy stuff, Sil Silics is where we bought our last palett of snad from.

I have a soda blaster. It's pretty expensive to get into but if you're gonna use it everyday it's good money. I think they're getting around $125 an hour. But it takes a serious compressor, 350 cfm. The soda is around 25-30 bucks a bag and there are different grades of soda. I used mine for stripping RVs and trucks. I also send out other things to have em dipped in acid and that works real nice.
