Better be Carefull What You put On Yer Wall Bud . Might be Surprised how Many Watchers & Helpers Ya end up with .

I Thought I was Being Smart When I Posted

( ALL ESTIMATES on Restorations or Custom jobs Requiring body Modifications will be $1,000.oo. Cash Upfront ) Price Includes a Complete paint Strip , & any Fillers Removed to Reveal any Underlying Problems or Damage . But Only A Protection Primer coat will be Applyed, If its Decided not to have the work done By Me & Vehicle to Be Removed from Property within 5 Buisiness days at Owners Expense . Otherwise will be applied to the Total cost of the Total Finished job .

I Had Them Standing inline to My Surprise , I Recon I wasn,t Thinkin about how Cheap that was for That much work , Wasn,t Really Expecting how Many takers I would get. But did get about a 50 / 50 % rate of Good jobs to be completed out of it .

Sure as Hell Dont give You Much time to get a whole hell of a lot of Other Work done , Considering it was Just Me & the Wife doing the work. But One helluva way to fill up a shop Luckily We Could fit 15 Vehicles in Our shop at the time . & We Did Live in a small apartment in the same Building for Security reasons . Anyway, Sure feels good to be Retired, lol

In the early 80s, I was working for a European import shop.
This guy came in with his car for some work.
All in his 3 pc suit telling me how to do my job. I explained that he shouldn't be in the shop area, cause things happen.

I had fender covers draped all over the front end and the valve cover off.
This particular engine has "overhead oilers" for the valve train.
When the engine is started, it sprays oil all over the valve train.
With the valve cover off, it will spray oil everywhere in about an 8' radius.

So, here the guy is going on and on and I start to lose patience, so I walk over hit, the key, let it fire and spray oil. Needless to say, the guy was pretty unhappy and never bothered me again.

Cowboy,
I don't seem to have much problems with people watching.
Most the work I do now is for businesses, so not too many of their employees want to do any work.

And the engine work I do, they leave it and go.
I get them done when they get done. So, unless they feel like sleeping in a cold shop, they don't stay.

That is the beauty of it not being my day job, I have the luxury of telling them to take it somewhere else if they want.

Paint jobs are dependant on if they arrive when I don't have a big engine job going and if they are paying more than the engine job. And if the body guy has time to get to it.

Most folks know the sign is a joke.
