You're not going to fix it. IE6 doesn't handle transparent png files properly. Never has, never will.
For a looksee as to what to expect with various browser interpretations of transparent pngs, go here (http://entropymine.com/jason/testbed/pngtrans/).
As far as your Opera percentage problem, Opera versions 7 - 9.2 suffer from a quantization error for CSS margin, padding and border values (http://www.brunildo.org/test/emarg.pl). If this is what you are referring to, there's nothing you can do but upgrade to 9.5, which doesn't fully fix the problem but corrects it somewhat. If this isn't what you're talking about, give a bit more details about the problem you're having.

firefox 2.00something.. front page loaded..
the 'about the artist' section is hard to read for me.. script is too flat for the type of script? looks like wavey humps..
script at top reads fine..
entire page took 4 passes to make everything clear tho. load, load, load, and then final load was readable..
look at the inside graphics- how big are the individual pictures? do you need that on a 'thumbnail' type page? either they are big, size wise or the internet is slow tonight???

The "nothing you can do up upgrade" statement was not entirely accurate. If you'll code your page to use whole number units and leave out decimal points, you shouldn't have that problem.

yeah there are no decimals which I found odd when looking up solutions as far as loading goes the main reason for switching to css is for the loading reason. I am open to any better ways before I get to deep into it. Right now taking a break on it to clear my head. I might just have to bite the bullet and redesign. I like the look but if it's gonna totally affect the ability for it to be viewed than it is not an effective sight design. I do wanna stay away from tables though Css seems to be the best idea for the main page set up.
