Hi all, they say necessity is the mother of invention......
My tip came about because I had a lot of wet & drying to do and didn't have any velcro backed wet and dry paper for my black and Decker RA sander!
I stuck a velcro backed sanding disc to wet and dry paper with "bostic" contact adhesive.... Viola!
Word of warning. As my sander is electric, I only damped down the suface with a damp sponge but it worked a treat :-)

did it work well? don't know if I'd trust my self to wet n dry with an electric sander

lets not get DROWNING with the water but most drills are double insulated anymore..
same idea would work with an air sander.

Yes it worked a treat.
I was a bit wary of the water thing so i just frequently wiped off and damped down with a sponge and didn't go mad.
