Probably a stupid question, but what air pressure should I be using for auto air paints?. I've tried thinning the stuff right down but I cant get a consistent flow through the brush.

Depends on what type of brush your using. I usually spray at around 25-30psi with my sidefeed and top feed. You'll have to bump that a bit for the bottom feed. Again it all depends onthe brush needle/nozzle size ect.
Not that this is the best advice but in the short time I have done this and using Auto Air, I believe it is a lot to do with how you paint and what brush you are using.
I am slow with my movements (that most folks have figured out). With an Eclipse I am down around 20 lbs. With a Paasche I am 25 to 30 lbs.
I think you will have to find what you are comfortable with. I know that most posts i read show 30 to 40 lbs.
I'm sure you will get better info from some others but I think you will have to do trial and error.
Hope this helps,
Clem
With a VL,, around 40 here,,,
with a side feed or C,,, about 20/30 !!!
The thinning accounts for fluctuation
in psi,,, heavier runs a higher psi !!!

I'm using a Iwata Hp SBS (Side cup), with a 3mm nozzle. Gave it a good soak in Acetone earlier just in case it was blocked up. I've tried everything from really low pressure to really high pressure but I can't seem to get a consistent flow. Is it down to the paints I'm using?, what does everyone else use???

Then your using the exact setup I am. Reduce down to about the consistancy of skim milk with 4011 or the 50-50 mix of Fantasic (MR.Mucle since your in the UK) and 25 psi. If I want really tight detail over reduce about 200% and turnt he psi down to about 18 and go.

I agree with Clinton.
Also, strain your paint.
I buy those cheap paper filters at the hardware store...tear out the screening and cut it into rounds that will just fit into the cap of the paint.
I change mine every couple months or when needed.
