apart from writing my name and spraying a circle. this is my first attempt.
yeh.. I know it's the obligatory skull, but I just wanted a go at something and that's what first came to mind. I used a CD blank to spray the head then free handed the rest. it's a kinda alien skull tho. :)
it's a bit blotchy in places, especially round the teeth which i did first.. and yeh i spilt paint on it.. lol. but I think I was starting to get the hang of it by the time I got to the eyes.
i was having some problems with the brush though. had a couple of blow outs and it seemed to never stop spraying paint, it only did it a little bit, but it was annoying... it's just one of those £19 ones off eBay though. i guess my Iwata (when it arrives) will be much nicer.

Not bad,, first time out !!!
Not Bad at all !!!:partyalone:
That is a cool looking skull, nothing wrong with that for a first attempt.
Your brush could have small piece of dried paint in the tip, I get it sometimes I normaly wind the pressure up as high as I can and blast some cleaner through it , backflush and rinse.
Or it could be the tip is deformed (not unusual on the copies) Not a lot you can do about that except replace with quality parts.

thanks you 2 :)
i was getting a bit of a build up on the tip. but i ended up haing to stop cos moisture was starting to get through. i've got an inline moisture trap coming so hopefully that'll help.

great job for a first shot.. everyone gets dry tip it's a pain in the @&$&
but all you can do is cleanand keep going
Good first attempt and thanks for posting.
Could be going about this wrong but anytime the paint starts to come out different, i point the AB at a trashcan and open it up, blow it all out, wipe the tip and try again. Same thing if it feels like I have to pull the trigger back a little to far.
Doing good, keep it up.

Hey Seadog.
I'm no expert but anything you brush is always a great start. Myself I'm just working on color coordination and stuff. Looks cool for a first try.

good 1st attempt w/ ab
do you keep the air on
if you turn the air off inbetween strokes you get tip dry
i also use high pressure to blow out the tip
try to leave the air on ( if you have a daul action ab ) it might help
p.s. i'm a noobie myself but have had this issue come up already
don't give up
keep at it when it comes to you
you will be amazed
