2nd attempt.

well i was going to go watch American Chopper, but i couldn't resist having another quick go.
again the circle was done using a CD blank. the rest was free hand.
i was a bit sloppy to start with, but I kept working it and i think it started to look ok.
going to try adding some white tomorrow and maybe a bit of red.

i'm enjoying this :D

thanks a lot. hopefully my ideas for it it will work and i'll post up the finished one later. :)
Think i've out grown my compressor already though :( I would have kept going all night if i could have, but it was getting really hot so i kept having breaks to let it cool. That wasn't too much of a problem, but i did notice a bit of a pulsate when doing really really fine lines. it was fine for anything else though so i'll put up with it for a bit longer.

Looks like you are getting more control and allowing the airbrush to work for you. Good for your second attempt. Do you do practice strokes etc?
i've read the beginner tips on here and a few other sites. and looked at what i'm supposed to be practicing. then made a mental note to use as many different types of stroke as i can in these pics to practice them, rather than just drawing lines. i'm not bothered if i make a mess, but just wanted to throw my self in and have a go :)

I do a few practice strokes before I start anything. When I start a project I use one corner of the panel for color changes and such. The AB clogs or color change, blow it out over a trash bucket, couple practice shots in the corner to see how the paint is and have at it again.

Not much but you may want to try something like this if you don't do it already.
