I have lots and lots of news print, I have paper towels as well, I do not want to have everything get here and not have what I need. Based on everything I have ordered should I be good to go for at least a few weeks?? Please offer up anything else you think I might want to get while I still have $300.00 in my AB fund. Boy and I anticipating the arrival of my gear, I think I dreamt about it the last 2 nights. Am I pathetic or what??

Ok thanks, the compressor comes with air hoses I believe and if not I am not sure what hose I will need to get to connect the compressor to the AB. As for an easel I am looking but haven't any Idea what would be portable enough for me to bring on the ship and versatile enough for me to paint standing up sitting in a chair or on the floor.
Any Ideas?? Links??
Thanks for the input.

What about a mask? (respirator)
shhhh...You don't need to wear it all the time, but it makes you look prepared and if you are airbrushing for long periods, you may decide to use one (and protect yourself).
Also...fans or ventilation devices for enclosed or indoor areas?

I should only have to use a dust mask for the E'TAC however I have a North half and full face respirator. I should be ok. Also I am buying a Rhine air forced air filtered pump just in case I do Polly.I have ISO filter cartridges not for direct use attach's to the inlet of the forced air pump.
What kind of frisket film would be best for water based paint use?
Also what material would be best for reusable template making. I will not be able to afford a plotter until I get back from sea in late 07 but we have one at work I can use to get me by.
I can't think of anything else I might need. I have a tarp for the over spray. I have 6 fans in my apt with AC air filters attached. I can get my sand paper and detail tape from work from 1/8" to 2".
When my order comes in from E'TAC I should have about 1.3 gal of paint all together. Still waiting for my total price but is looking to be around $400.00 but if what everyone has told me that should last me a good while.
JC
Your airhoses are BRUSH related instead of
comp related,,, check on it,,, 10 ft prefferably !!!
You seem pretty well outfitted with your order,,,
I've wondered about the "Etac" paints so keep
us informed on your progress !!!
On my first AB,,, I was already into paint,,, so
it was just the brush on a large comp using 1-shot
paints,,, then the learning curve:partyalone:
Happy Trails with your painting !!!
Like I was helpfully informed, get some small magnets. If you need to you can use the bulkhead for the easel. Be sure to use a backup paper or something to keep the paint from soaking through.
Ya may want a couple wood cloths pins or sticks for different things.
Not really much help but wishing you the best.

If ya have an extra $300 ya might want to get a nice cooler. Prefferably weight rated. Then fill it with beer and use it for your chair while painting. Take frequent drinks to keep the fumes from settling in your lungs. A stripper would cost too much so go out and buy the ol girl a maid outfit for when she gets home. A plumber outfit might work too. Tell her your pipe needs cleaned. Other then that it sounds like ya have it handled.

Ponder This,
I like your order of all the goodies, but I am concerned that you might have the wrong ship to address on that order. My address is . . . LOL
I had my old computer take a dump a few months ago. I did not have much saved to disk. Big mistake! I had a lot of art work and pics of stuff I wanted to build for different projects. All that is lost to a dead hard drive. So, a word of :flushed: :flushed: warning to you all, If you want to keep it, save it off the hard drive!
Have a good day,
Jerry
For Shirtboards,, I've found old sign faces (plastic) work great !!!
24"x36" for the large (what I use mostly) with a slight peak
in the center and a smooth taper and rounded corners !!!
Rigid enough to hold a shirt and lightweight !!!

JC, I was going to make a recommendation for an easel, but I have already done a step by step on how to build one here (http://www.signforums.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64876). I hesitated to link to this, but I noticed Whit has already posted a link to Signforums.com in another thread, so I guess it's okay.
Since posting this plan, I've built another one just like it. I now have 20 feet of wall space and 8 standards... lot's of room for painting and signmaking. The standards for this easel are portable, so as long as you could mount the stringer in the ship you could move the standards from shop to ship, er, well, you get the drift.
EDIT..... Oh heck, the link won't work for you if you aren't a member of SignForums. I'll post another thread with shots and explanation of the build. Coming soon.
