these peeps make a lot of great products for the television and theatrical industry. i was turned onto the paint last year by a sales lady at my local paint direct store here in calgary. you should be able to get this stuff globally.

check out the "off broadway", "super saturated" and the "color coat" lines. all are supposedly exterior grade paint. ultra low or no VOC, no odor, water borne acrylic vinyls and acrylic enamels. they also make a wide variety of varnishes and glazes perfect for protecting any mural job.

i cant say enough good things about this paint.

the below photo was taking in full sunlight with the camera flash on and as you can see no glare. having no glare is very nice when you spend 8 hours or more a day staring at a painting.

Hair, how are these for durability and long term exposure to light?
Do you clear them afterwards for protection and to keep them clean?
If they are anything like the murals I've done, everybody wants to come up and play touchy feely with the walls and images. In Las Vegas, they basically require that the finished murals have a clear glossy coat on them if they are within reach of people.
How are these paints cost wise?

about 45-65$ CAD a gallon depending on color, then you need to reduce at least 1:1 and even more, the super saturated are designed to be ultra reduced up to and over 16 parts water to 1 part paint :O

i just mix up small amounts in water bottles with 1 part paint 2 parts water and a few marbles for shakers and i havent had too much problems with any of them.

they make several varnishes and glazes which are all intercompatible with each other.

no sure about the light fastness yet still looking for that..

da shit is da bomb i'm telling you.

well worth looking into. i started out with buying the entire off broadway line and have been adding supersaturated colors to the collection, now i use the OB for bases and the SS for airbrushing. when i start my line up of out door murals this spring i'll be investing in all the color coat line for them.

the stuff is all you'll need for anything mural related, faux finish, trompe l oeil....they have primers for foam, flame retardant additive, glow in the dark paint.......

just dont mix up large amounts at a time, the matting agents seem to settle out after reduced when left sitting for long periods of time . filtering always helps when ever you mix your own.

Thanks for all the pictures and info. Where did hairbag come from? For me, it was hairbag in the 80's, then hair farmer in the 90's, now it's hair club for men.
