hi all, I'm shooting this Nitro clear (Mohawk Musical Instrument clear) over AA. the label says to shoot it 4-5 coats, dry 1 h in between. I did that but where ever I have artwork, I get tiny fisheyes!!. Back of the guitar looks good. Then they say, wet sand with 400 using MINERAL SPIRITS? then lay it down again, as before, thinned 1:1. Is that right?
thanks

50 years back in high school we LOVED lacquer..
however, there was a 'sanding sealer' applied over the wood color/stain, BEFORE the top coat applied..

maybe you can find help there?
IIRR they got 'water based ' car paints, so probably would have an idea how to do what you want.
