OK I'm wanting to get set up with 3 guns. (prime, base, clear).
And at this point it's still a hobby!$!$!$..If you follow me...
I have a cheap $40 gravity feed primer gun from hardware store.
I have the old Binks No 7.
And I'll be buying either a Finex or Cobalt.
Don't know how much better a gun the Cobalt is??
The question is would the binks make a better base gun or clear gun??
Considering the answer to that question, what gun and tip size would I need for my 3rd gun??
I have about $200 to spend.
I'd entertain the thought of buying 2 Finexs of different tip sizes.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Carson, I'm no expert or even close, but I went to Harbor Freight Tools and bought their top line touch up gun (1.2mm needle) which is a knockoff of the Sata Mini-jet. Its the purple colored one. I was a little tight for cash. It was on sale for, like $ 65. They have cheaper ones that are junk, but this little gun is great. I also have a Kobalt, and its miles above the Kobalt.

Well with so many gun makers now it's a big choice. I have 6 bigs and 3 mini jets. I have 2 primer guns. They both are Astro's. One is 1.7 nozzle. And the other is 2.5 nozzle. I think I'm starting to get old. The reason for the 2.5 is poly primers and liquid mask. I have 2 Iwata LPH-400's 1 is 1.4 nozzle for base. and the other is 1.4 and have a 1.5 setup for it and its for clear coat. Now the last 2 are Sata's RP's and they are set up like the Iwata's. The Astro's are the cheapest I buy. I prefer the Iwata's and Sata's. And yest it's a lot of money but I use them to make money.

I have this one from harbor freight with a 1.0 setup. Works great for small projects and is on sale now for 40 bucks.

My local paint supplier sells three-packs (clear/primer/touch-up gun) for 107.00. I bought them when I took my sata to get rebuilt. I still like my sata better, but these guns are not bad at all. Sorry, I have no name brand to share with you, but you might want to check with your local supplier. I've had these for around three months now with no problems.
