Hi Everyone
Here is a picture I did for a contest. It came out okay this was my first water picture. Let me know what you think. I know one of the things I should have done was made the trees bigger.

Thank Sharon. I normally do sign it. It must just have slipped my mind.

If you wanted to make the trees appear larger, that is exactly what you should have done. Remember, objects appear larger in the foreground than they do in the background. Look at telephone poles along a road, the ones in the background are just a fraction of the size of those in the foreground.
So your boat should be in perspective accordingly, and just a fraction of the size of the trees. Therefore the trees should be much larger. Maybe even having them just barely leaning in.
It is just the way I saw it based on your question. You did a good job painting them with an airbrush though. I normally, but not always, use a hairy brush in the leaves.

Thanks airarts. I think I need to take a basic drawing/art class. It make sense what you are saying. I will have to keep that in mind for next time. I guess they will be my baby trees hehehe. Thanks for the help.
