OK Ya,ll . I,ve been really busy Fixing up the place & Selling Our collection of 55 thru 59 chevy trucks . I Finally decided to Buy something for Me , That I can use around the property as well as Maybe resale If needed .
Granted there wont be much Airbrushing involved unless I get carryed away With posablly woodgraining the dashes Or Other things I might come up with .
I found a pair of Old Barn finds , Old Chevy trucks flatbeds ton/ton & a half with lift beds 6400 series trucks I just hadta have . One is a 1953 & the others a 1954 . For now I plan to use the 53 on the property & restore the 54 to Hopefully sell for a tidy profit to Fund My Wifes drinking problem in the years to come , ME . LOL
I,m not sure how far I plan to go as They both run & drive now & the lift beds work . But the 54 is a virgin , Whats left of the paint is Original & untouched by any butcher bodyman , That is untill now . lmao
The first 5 pics is the one I plan on restoring . the last 4 pics are the one I will use around here .
Anyway I,ll update as I go along , I just thought as it seems a little slow around here latelly , Some might find this interesting . Thanks for looking . CB

Yep I here Ya skids . The ratrod look is really big right now . But the difference between those & a Nice Shiny old truck the farmers like to haul there antique tractors around to Parades & such , are the amount of 00,s in the price tag of what they are worth to Them . lol . CB

Lookin good. I'm lookin for an old internation harvester or something for myself to restore. I would airbrush the crap out of it. You I can see it covered it flames and skulls but a nice two tone or something would be great. Classy!!! Keep us posted with your progress.
They're some real beauties CB!!....I can't believe they still have cab corners in em..LOL.....Trucks on the road around here in worse shape than them....Damn good find!
Keep us posted, I'm lookin forward to it.

Sweet catch there Cowboy. anything like that up here would bring a top $$ just as they are. hell most would be missing everything from mid cab down..lol. I cant wait to see what is in store with the 54.
Excellent find CB! You will have to show us the resto as it prgresses!
they're beautiful as is, if anything change the seats for something a little more comfortable, maybe some pinstriping and you'll have some really nice trucks

Thanks Ya,ll . Like I said not Quite sure what I,m going to do or how far I will get carryed away . If the Trucks Wernt so Nice, complete & original & both have less then 50K actuall Mileage on them . at Least one would Be in da weeds with a blown big block & enough rubber on the rear to make any prostock look like a sissy . But since I no longer drive , that kinda would take the fun out of it for Me .
There worth more around here for a Nice lookin useable farm truck or antique tractor hauler , that Hopefully will still be driven lots more years from now . I,m not planning on taking them apart any further then needed because theres just not much wrong with them.
Updates to come soon hopefully . CB

wow, I'd like to see one a them done up as a street monster! I've always thought ot would be cool to take a big dually truck and fill up the fenderwells with slicks instead of the dual tires.

Thanks FS . I found it Perty hard to beleive Myself .
I Aint made any progress that Pics would do any good showin. Just been workin on the one I,m going to keep for use on the Property . Wiring was really Cobbled up , So I been doing a bunch of Rewiring .
The Fuel was like Varnish , So Hadto pull everything fuel related off & Boil it all out , Replace all lines & hoses & put fresh fuel in it . Runs like a top now .
Of Coarse everythings froze up on the Brakes , Someone had Stripped the nut on top of the master cylinder lid to Where I had to Bust it in a 1000 pieces all of which fell inside the master cylinder , Very time consuming gettin the crap back out & flushing it out so it dont get into the Cylider itself .
Coarse out Here I dont need no Stinkin brakes , hehe . I,ve been tearin a shed down & drove it out there so I could stack the lumber I,m saving on the flatbed So I can store it inside till I need to use it for another shed I,m going to build .
Anyway Nothing exciting to Report . I Bought the Wife an old Harley Davidson electric golf cart . So I been workin on the electrics on it so She can drive it around the property & haul Her Beer & guns hehe . Fiberglass Body,s in Perty sad shape so it will be getting a face lift this winter & Probablly some airbrushin & pinstripes , in my spare Friggin time, LMAO .
I got it goin last Nite so heres a few pics of Momma cruisin around on it , The Smile says it All . CB
hahaa...One happy camper indeed!
I worked at a golf course years back...Take a cart fresh off a nights charge, they'd chirp the tires on pavement..lol...Fun stuff.
