A new painting

Hi Guys, Just finished this canvas yesterday, My Wife likes it, but Im just not sure, dose it look too cartoonish? What do you think?

I like it, its not cartoony at all. Only critisism( and its only a minor one) is you've used black for shading on her body and it looks out of place, try using a darker shade of her body colour instead.

Hi Clem, I felt that the dark lines in the outline made it cartoonish, static, lacking in ife, enclosed, formulated, Sorry getting too deep now, i think now that i have been looking at it for the past few days, its growing on me, Im working on a new painting at the moment so that is disdracting me from it. I need to relax this weekend, I think I am being too self critical, WHISKEY! IRISH WHISKEY! Thats the thing to relax the brain. cant wait till friday.:cheers:

Hey Kevin! If you were going for realism I would say it's a bit cartoonish but I really like it the way it is. I like the way it flows, the movement of the design.

Thanks a Million, Dont quiet know what i am aiming for, Just trying to Please myself, Which is a tough job, I dont think i want realism, I think the more i do the more i will find my own style, i will keep you updated on this progression!
