GOTTA ADMIT ITS HORRIBLE, first the first paint layer was with PREMADE BY FLOW AIR TONE FLESH, i dont suggest it to anyone! i think im sticking to burnt sienna an extender? Well as you can see it was looking nice UNTIL THE BLACK snuck its way in the picture. I m not sure why i keep doing that, i tried to fix it by putting white over the black spots to lighten it back up and as you can see it was just a back and forth mess.

No, it's not horrible. The more practice you'll do, the better you'll get. Everything is a learning experience.

i know i should try it again, and i also learned dont use 100 percent cotton, that might help all that over spray mess, and build up? I hate that i had to add the halo thing to juice it up a little, ill do it again and post.:angry-smiley-030:

You can lay down more lighter fleshtone on the "tan" and where you have the colorshift going on with the white highlights, you can LIGHTLY dust over them with an orange to bring some more warmth into it. The hair can use some more nuetral warm tones in it as well, and the teeth need a slight shading. It is a great piece to MAKE you LEARN how to lay down color, so experiment with what I said just to learn if anything!!!!

Try to shade with transparent colors, like cobalt blue, burnt sienna, purple, even red. For her hair I would use transparent burnt sienna mixed with some transparent orange. For her face I would use white+burntsienna (very little as you have some down already) + a small amount of transparent blue= LIGHTER fleshtone. Always start with your lighter colors on her face, then go for the darker ones. You can always highlight with a whiter fleshtone later. Her teeth are too pearly white, so maybe a color closely to a mid fleshtone to bring the shine down "some". Wher you used red, you can also shade with transparent blue, purple, or burnt sienna, depending an the warmth or coolness that you want.

Happy learning ;-)
