I am at final layout for a painting for my son. It involves a BelAir, car hop diner style with a modern twist.. (his fave car in the whole world)...haven't airbrushed in a while, this one might be tricky, a lot of masking involved I think! May have to use mixed media :).......stay tuned

always good to see other mediums... gives me thoughts of college. That was the last time I used them except in teaching art. Loved getting my fingertips all chalky and colored!! Some wonderful drawings!Can't wait to see more of the project...U can post up some progress pics. We always like to see the birthing of a piece. Mess and all! lol

Yes i had forgotten about pastels too! i find them great for pet portraits, they can make drawing quicker. I like the velvety smoothness of them, makes for effortless blending! But if your after fine detail... pastel pencils are the go! most of the drawings of animals i do are with pastel pencils..

Have started airbrushing base and background of the BelAir painting...I am going to hand paint the rest with acrylics, should be done hopefully by the end of the week.
