looks great! Did you cut the mask by hand or use a plotter? I cant imagine tryin to cut the small blade edge by hand! Im impressed. :)

Looks sweet Gix....The blade look goes nicley with yer base colors...Make sure ya show us after clear. Gonna be way cool!

I like painting clubs. But Man what a pain to hold on to!.....I built a contraption with quick clamps..So i could bolt the thing in place and quit fumbling with it.:partyalone:

I made the concept drawing on a napkin then worked it in illustrator. Had a friend (BobMC on another forum) cut it in his plotter (yeah if I hand cut it would look like a tomatoe not a blade).

ABD... this was hand held and McGyvered rigging device. I would be VERY interested in seeing your contraption and the project plans for it.

Sweet!

I agree, it looks Great!
Can't wait to see it with the clear.

So, how worthwhile is doing the clubs?
What is the ballpark range of pricing that you can get for them?
I know that would change from one area to another, but if you wouldn't mind sharing that info, it would sure be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Denise

Hey Gix, My contraption is a McGyver special also....I have some IR curing lamps on adjustable stands, With wheels...I clamped the Club to the lamp at a 90deg angle..Then i could pull up a chair and raise or lower the club in front of me....Worked really well, I've only done a few clubs. But if i had a bunch to do i would build something with a similar design.

Color and Saint...I would imagine it would be very profitable in the right place and time....I got about $50 to $60 for a club head...Some talk about painting the shafts also..I could squeeze out some more cash out of em doing that.

They're fun to do (if you can hold on to em)...Have very little in material use...I'd say paint em if ya got em:D

is it worth while.... I say yes... I am so new to all of this that the sheer look on my buddies faces is priceless. However that doesn't help me much, so I get a nice lunch and money for materials. I have asked them how much they would pay for them for real. And asked what their golfing buddies would pay. They both said they should start at 100.00 or 150.00. My jaw dropped when they said that. I told them if there golf buddies want it done to their clubs that I would do what they suggested and start at 100 ish... my phone ain't ringing off the hook, granted the season hasn't started either.

as far as painting the shaft, I would imagine that would be a VERY bad idea unless it is for a trophy. The shaft flexes way to much and would imagine the paint and clear would not like that reaction.
