Hi fellow artists, I thought I had better get this open now, as I will be working very long hours from now until the 16th, and may not be by much. I look forward to dropping in to see who what and how, so thanks in advanced to those that have something to show this week! Cheers all!

I posted this on another thread, but you KNOW how Scott likes to have everything tidy in one place....
This is the first shirt I've done in 15 years, mind you...I'm not a t-shirt artist...and I'm slow. Used a hairy brush here and there for some of the hairline highlights (read quote below)....

Coupla' more oldies,, but unusual mabye,,,
fish for a sign & crane co. had an old antique
crane that resembled a fishing pole,,, so,,,
what better than a 12 ft fish to show it off !!!
Large half inch glitter runs down sides,, sparkles !!!
Has become a landmark for truckers on I-45 !!!
Then,,, a dent in a MC gas tank,,, rather than
just smooth it,, why not play and amplify the
damaged area with an eagles head !!! These
were before clearing,, looked better cleared !!
Okay,, so much for old stuff,,, ya'll get them
pics up,,, we're a waitin for ya's !!!:partyalone:

Lynne, I LOVE the shirt, nice job. Good work on the lettering, has a nice feel. (Sucking up big time, lol) I would be proud to wear a shirt like that!

Good Lookin Snake Lynne !!!
The eagle is carved in "Bondo" as
it had to be applied fixing the dent
that's under it,,, when laying the putty,,,
it just looked like an eagle head,, so,,,
I just carved it on out and finished !!!

The work in progress looks good Gordon. I myself appreciate the WIP posts, Helps me see how some of this goes together.

Would have liked to see Lynne's WIP on the snake. Very nice work done there.

I have a feeling that Whit has just a few more things buried that would be nice to look at.

Thanks everyone for the posts, it all looks good.

No rest for the wicked Steven... I bet you're glad to put this one behind you. The customer drooled? Big sucker. Geez.

Sorry Clem, I'm a little time constrained here myself, with what's goin on this weekend....no time for a wip...I needed all the hands I had to hold down that fishnet, let alone a camera as well.
Another time.

Here is what I was working on at Dru's. Photo Realism is a slow process, plus all the teachings that go on with it. oops, they are blury pics. oh well.

Gordon, thanks for posting a WIP, most of us love em, it gives a little "window on the soul" of the artist, and the approach used. After all , that's why we congregate in the first place, right? To share and contribute ideas to each others' success. I look forward to the final piece, it looks amazing!

Sharon, I love this type of work. My wife's stepdad, who I recently helped through stroke recovery, does these for wildlife charities, nice work!

Karinne, the workshop work is very very cool, nice work, it appears the class was a worthwhile exercise......

And last but certainly not least, TIM! Nice shirt bro, you and Clem and gettin harder to hold down, you're on your way! Nice job....

Please excuse the multiple comments in my threads, I don't want to falsely inflate the actual art and comment contributions (I don't count, remember?!lol)

[QUOTE=stevenskc;16577]This is what kept me away from the Forum for the past few weeks. Finally finished it and delivered it Friday. You can kind of get an idea of how big this boat is by its relation in size to my building. You can stand on the back of the boat and almost jump onto my roof.

Hey big dog, thanks for posting, lol! That's a BOAT! I would ask how much a job like that pays, but that would be rude. Very impressive job, if you ever have time, I think we would all love to know how you even lay something like that out, we're really talking mural scale here...... awesome job!

I only have one problem. I can't see where the rod holders go, lol......

I hope you guys will be okay with this, but Whit will appreciate it, as a veteran sign maker. I have been up to my arse for two weeks, with one all nighter week to go, with a major Disney project. I thought I would post a few pics, as this is my daily art, the art of digital signs. It may not qualify as real art, but is fairly rare, and unique in the final medium, which is Digitally Imaged High Pressure Laminate, or DHPL. That's Kustom, baby! Its what I do to earn a living. A lot of construction and care goes into this process, and we are actually custom fabricating the frames and armatures that will hold these heavy permanent signs. Day and night for one more week. Good thing the Mouse pays well, lol..... they (the Walt Disney Imagineering crew) will be in for "buy off", better known as anal inspection, then on to a Dallas freight jet for Paris, France....

The last picture is one of my guys, Jeremy, using our Camera equipped CNC cutter to cut some shaped signs out of the larger boards we manufacture. He is a super guy, wiped out by Katrina from Gulfport Mississippi, he has made a home here and is an amazing, and valued employee....

Sorry, I didn't realize how dark the shop is, it seems fine to the eye, but hard to get enough light for digital pics. I will have to consider that if we can pull off an airbrush party sometime......

More and more good things being posted.

Dog, some shop ya got there, still growing? Great.

Melanie, looks like a true one of a kind, looks good.

Air arts is moving right along too.

Can't say that it is finished yet. This guy was asking about ghost flames and thinking I may try to add some on this. Not sure yet, don't want to mess up what is done.

I want to say thanks to everyone for posting so much good work to look at.

Ok its been slow this week end. This is done for the vinyl jocky here in the flea. His logo is done using paint mask cut on a plotter. the rest is just "taggin" style letters.
The hardest part was weeding the mask. His plotter didnt cut it that well.

This one is mostly Golden and Etac on poster board. It was a gift for a friend. I forgot to get a pic at the time but she was kind enough to let me take it back for a short time to make the pic. It's roughly 9 x 12 inches.

Here's my first helmet ever. Worked with Auto Air paints. Metallic copper with Cherry Red candy with brain pattern painted over. Not the most original piece but wanted to get some Auto Air practice under the belt. Have to get it cleared now.

Thanks to my friend Clinton for giving some great advice!!
