That is a cool gig Whit. When I was in Monteray Bay CA, on the boardwalk, I found some stencils made for henna tats. I used them on shirts. They are the kind that are from Idia for the hand, and also armbands. They are made out of some kind of rubber with adhesive on the back.

Badger's Totally Tattoo paint is a definite choice, but will not work for face painting (Says on bottle).

I have put Totally tattoo paints on myself and with care they have lasted up to a week.
Monster energy logo on my chest last tuesday and it lasted untill sunday when it started to smudge away so I scrubbed it off.

Many brands offer either/both a water-based and alcohol temp tat color of henna.
Each brand will all be slightly different in color, but will do the trick.
The alcohol based looks the most "real" as it can have a "stained skin" look.

Product wise, I prefer my Sponsor's :wink2:

In Indian grocery stores, you can buy henna stencils, in true Mehndi style. Gorgeous. I have a book on it, the traditional method, with henna paste, lemon juice and little tiny bottles that you squeeze goo onto your skin with. Lemme tell ya, the lotus design I did on my left hand and forearm lasted 4 weeks.

I personally would love something that I could do on me at home, without the waiting around for hours, but didn't look like "paint" (real henna tatt's don't look as dark as the stuff they sell as henna coloured paint, it's softer in tone).

Or pick up some Dover books (copyright free and royalty free reference) for paisley, and other designs.

Quick question guys, can you cut a non-stick stencil material using a plotter cutter?

If so Whit, I'm your girl....I have a new scanner (woo hoo) and books on this subject. I could scan and ship you jpeg's? or flip em into Corel Draw. (you're gonna make me learn how to use this, aren't you)

There are several great alcohol based body inks;Badgers Totally Tattoo,Airbrush Bodyart(ABA) and OCC .Any of these will last close to a week or longer.I belive Ladypainter uses OCC which has the best metallics on the market.ABA has metallics and irradscents all 3 have great solid colors. You can't go wrong with anyone of these companys products.I use products from all three

Neil's right - I fell in love with OCC Ink back in August - been collecting colors ever since. And on February 15 of this year, was named their Premier Bodypainter.

Update here,,,,,
well,,, just talked to the people on this,,,
I kinda whined,, said,, well ,, I don't know,,,
they said,, okay,, we got several events
coming up throughout the year,,, we need an
airbrusher we can work with,,, R U HE ???
We'll set ya up with paint/material and throw
a $1000 into it,,, $500 for paint/stencils/etc.
and $500 to show,,, 10 am to 4 pm !!!
By then the whine changed a tad,,, well,,, OK !!!
So I'm thinkin I'll go with the Badger paint,, as
it's alchocol based,, and until I can cut some
decent stencil designs,, go with a few store
bought stencils !!! Just offering 1 color to start !!!
So I guess I'm in biznizz now !!!
This comes up in April (mid) so I'm thinkin I got
some researchin to do here !!!
Thanks for all the input here !!!
Oh,,, I'll have a tip jar as well:partyalone:
I'll have a couple of other colors sittin next to
the tip jar,, just in case,, well,, you know,,,
spare change adds up,,, it could happen !!!
