Gallery?

do members each have a gallery here that all their up-loaded pictures go to for easy retrieval?

Not yet Rick...It's a feature we are considering when the new vBulletin4 software is out and bug free....Such would need to be user friendly and integrate well with the forum software to be effective...might not be far away tho....

You can post pictures in the Sunday Art show for now....

The gallery was a special software addition that was licensed to Steven Craig. He specifically asked that all of his licensed software be removed when we brought this site back up. As such, all of the images that were in the gallery were put out in the weeds, and will never be reinstated unless such a point comes where the members wish to go on another fundraising campaign to raise money for the licesnse.

I don't recommend it now, because as Jimmy said the new version of VB is right around the corner and there will be a fairly slick gallery built into it. We can rebuild the gallery from scratch at that point. I hesitate to go out and throw good money at a third party software package at this point... but it's up to you. You want to throw a few hundred beans my way, we'll set it back up and it'll be just like it was the day the board was abandoned.

Sharon, I need the sleep more than I need the money. I brought this board back for the members and will do whatever they ask me to do. I've got three years of sweat equity in this place, and refuse to let it die. But I can't throw money at it left and right to keep it open. I'm already providing the server space for it. The members that truly cared pitched in for the license to keep it open. If enough members want the gallery we'll purchase that and reinstate it too. I'm here for you.

Just My opinion , But I think the old Gallery sucked , 90% of the crap in it was from People that never even took the time to participate here , Just Toot Toot look at Me then their gone . You can find that all over the net if Ya want . Thats why Most folks never took the time ta leave comments IMHO .

Now with myspace, facebook , twitter , ( whatever the hell that is ) People dont even have time to keep up with the Forums they used to participate in . Obviouslly . Dont make much sense ta Me . But then again I dont get the whole Texting thing either , lol . CB

draggie I agree the phone is for talking.. when someone texts me I call them and answer them.. they so sound stund though..

seems reasonable, seems unlimited space for the individual.. downside? it IS a part of Yahoo, however it might be worth looking into.. there is a method of setting the pictures so they cannot be copied.. and they can be set ?? as copyrighted?
lots of airbrush folks there now.

I also use Photobucket, gallery is on private so if I post an image it is the only time it is seen, get a lot of space for nothing.
