I use Uros for everything..But then you run into the safety aspect of paint...Proper gear for iso's all that jazz
......You can use auto air and paints along that line...Clear with a spray can..Or get a body shop to put he good stuff on for ya..if you can't safely do it yerself

Hi Ron, good to chat with you! Two main choices of course, water based and urethane. I prefere urenthane for many reasons but they are more dangerous to use, and more folks turn to AA, water based, etc. as paint. That is your first choice. That choice could be mitigated by what the overall design intent is. If you want to layer colors, use candies, etc., you might want to choose urethanes. Can't tell you which way to go, but can offer some insight if you go Uro.....
Two ways to go,,,,,,,
1- an adhesion promoter (I use "Bulldog)
basecoat uro's,, color,, clear w/uro's !!!
2- Krylon (rattle can) "Fusion" for plastic !!!
With the Krylon,, you can basecoat and AA
or Createx on top and clear with rattle can !!!
Or,, as indicated,, put some good stuff on top !!!

Hey Whit, from what I have seen, AA and waterbased are very cool (not a big fan of Createx so far though,) and good to use. I just don't have any experience with them yet. If I was to read your post, and didn't already have a major urethane inventory, I think I would be tempted to do it your way!

hey whats up !!!!
hows the tee sparying going??? bdog your a natural:clapping2:
yes i have been missing inaction lately back to work no compressor but its great to see this site still rocks 3 replys in 20 mins ...with what i need to know as usual....i'm not worried about the safety aspect as from time to time (though i hate it ) have to strip asbestos and am very familiar with masks ans resporators,,,no biggie there just want to get the best product out i can ,,,its a maiden voyage so i need to be sharp here and possibly word of mouth and bam im retired with an airbrush in hand...okay so now i am drunk...lol
i will be layering so its a urethane based paint cool
so a spray lacque will be fine like in a can --like i think whit was talking about?????????
Not really a big AA or Createx fan,, but,,,
that seems the way new times are !!!
Scott,,, the uro's are the way to go if
you have the booths/guns/wherewithall
to do and do right !!!
I'm basically an oilbase person,, but like
on an inside wall mural,,, createx is great
as well as the T painting,, but preferences
are oilbase (uro's included):partyalone:
