Hi folks. My name is Ron, and I'm a paintaholic. I was led here by another member of the forum... Whit. He has been instrumental in everything I have done so far in airbrushing. From paint and media selections to equipment, I have relied on Whit for help every step of the way. He's very knowledgable, and I guess I can consider him my "mentor" in the airbrushing part of my work.
I run a sign shop in the North Georgia Mountains, doing everything from simple vinyl signs to light cabinets to sandblasted panels to glass blasting and etching. My interest in airbrushing came about because there is a custom motorcycle shop right next to my business. I get walk ins all the time from the motorcycle shop asking if I can do custom work on bikes and helmets. As a biker myself I am abhored at the thought of sticking vinyl to a motorcycle, and just refuse to do it, so the airbrush thing sort of naturally fell into place. I still rely too much on templates and paint mask to get the job done, but my freehand skills are getting better.
Anyway, it's nice to meet you folks, and I look forward to participating in your community. I tend to talk a lot, so feel free to smack me down if I get too wordy ;)
