Posted this in the Sunday art show but since it's a WIP thought I'd post it up here. Working on the art for the sides and the back right now, should have some more pics tomorrow of the rest. It's about a 3rd of the way done. The eye is cover art form the band Tool, the rest will be modified cover art. I changed it up quite a bit but the client was pretty tough to get to agree to any changes at all. All Auto Air with trusty Eclipse SBS. :)

cool......like the subject, nicely done, your helmet stand looks just like mine, i've had 2 just like that for 10 years now, they're great, you don't have to touch the helmet to move it around, and with the round base you can spin it with a little something propping up the bottom,

can't wait to see it done...

Looks cool, Clinton.

I like the way you've pulled all the elements together.

Can't wait to see it all done and cleared.

Not cleared yet, waiting final look see from the client then sign it and off to clear. But the hard part is done I hope, nothing really hard though kind of fun.

Reworked the front wording a bit to clear it up.

HEY TO CLINTON YOU CAN PAINT THE VISOR IF YOU WANT LIKE MY HELMET...

CHECK IT...

WHAT IT IS, IS VINYL MESE IT HAS MANY HOLES, GO DOWN TO A SHOP THAT SELLS VINYL LETTER OR THINGS OF THAT YOU KNOW THE WHITE STICKERS ON THE BACK WINDOWS... ANYWAYS ... WHAT I DID WAS SAND IT DOWN PUT THE VISOR ON AND THEN MASK THE VISOR THEN STUCK THAT MESH ON... IT WILL NOT STICK TO THE MASKING TAPE... AFTER YOUR DONE WITH YOUR HELMET CLEAR IT OFF THE MASKIN TAPE BACK ON THE WHITE SHEET IT CAME ON... THEN PULL IT OFF ALINE IT AND SMOOTH IT OUT....

I THINK I STILL HAVE SOME LEFT OVER... YOUR WELCOME TO IT IF I CAN FIND IT...

OH YEA.. YOU CAN NOT WEAR IT WHILE IT IS RAINING.... FILLS THE HOLES AND YOU CANT SEE SH*T

Thanks a bunch for the comments guys. Cleared it tonight and man she looks great, couldn't be happier. I think it's about the best I can do at this time and the clear went on without any problems, I don't have to touch it at all.:clapping2: I'll post some final shots tomorrow when I get it home, tried to take some pics when I was done clearing it but the lights were way too refective in the booth.

Jason, I wish I was within the country at least being next door would be insane.:)

VITOANT, I'm not a big fan of the perf vinyl think it looks cheap. Besides it's not legal in Canada.

I think it's only legal for the back windows of vehicles and the passenger rear seat windows... at least here in the US. Canada too, I think. Falls under window tint restrictions, regardless of graphics.

Just FYI, two companies make this stuff (last I knew since I was involved with any of it)....Clear Focus (who claim they came up with the idea) and 3M (who's been under suit ever since)...Clear Focus' is a hardier, easier to apply vinyl. I used to AB right onto it using Deka's Sign Air when woodward1.com was just getting started. Did all his demo work. It's neat stuff to play with. For those who want to play...just remember if it's really dark graphics, it'll appear more see through from the graphics side. Lighter is better. For AA Paints, I would recommend a FrogJuice clear before applying, to protect the paint.

Sorry to steal the thread temporarily.

Attached is one of the pieces I did for that company...moral of the story...never I will "work for hire" again.
