hey loretta, there is a breakfast w santa here in town on the 12th. i know you do paid events and wanted to know the best way to approach the owner about having me also. they have 2 time slots for the event 9 &11. each one will offer a pic also. they have already sent the fliers out and i dnt know about newspaper.

I'd just simply approach them - are you licensed, insured? Having both these will help you.

Sell whatever good points you have that make you look good.
Basically for hired jobs you need to be better than the next guy.
So why you and not the balloon twister?
And this is an entertainment business not a tattoo service - so you have to be great with kids, upbeat and actually come with your bells on - really it a Christmas event.

Why you? Long lasting tattoos will have kids go away and when people see that they'll ask and know they got it a breakfast with Santa. Clean and safe for flu season. Kids love you and tattoos. Appeals to little kids and youth, not like face painting or balloons which is more appealing to kiddies - and adults love it too.

I sell a dozen other factors - but I've been at this for a long time.
Ok I sell very little and am always busy but I've been at this a long time!!!

Be sure you have something you can leave with him as he mulls it over.
Remember a no is a no for now - but maybe they have other events and there is next year - sometimes marketing is seed planting.
