Freaking cold, temps and one caught from the kid, and now he's back in school, I FINALLY got in my room and got back to playing.
3 posters and 6 cover sheets. Getting back to building the sampler book. Whatever colors I'm using for the day, I'll do several sheets at the same time, then they can be placed on whatever to see how they look.
I planned to order paints with some leftover christmas $, but I'll be waiting now to get that $ back when taxes come back next month. Bill collectors don't like to wait and I don't want to piss off the dentist when I need him for a problem tooth~
So anyways, enough bs, here's what I did today.
All kafka, bobbo brush is flared on ends, can't fix, seriuosly, Ithink it's just worn out lol! So designs aren't as thin as usual but it'll have to do, i just clean off my fingers regularly from choking up on the ferrel.

Bow, bow scrape grovel, these are simply marvelous Carlene, make me not even want to put a brush to anything lol, I need some serious playtime, gotta split it between the air and the stripe this time home, inspirational stuff.
Just quick, the fades, is that white then faded into the still wet blue giving that sort of fade to skty blue , well the colour I see here anyway.

it's wet on wet Andy.
I tried the actually fading and it looks better to do solid line, then a lighter line, then a lighter one if big enough to, or just add the white at the tip.
Makes it appear sharper for some reason~
Git busy :D

Yeah me too Dell, I just gotta say sweet stripes also Carlene....
You really have a sweet style working Carlene, and wet on wet at that....just plain inspiring to an ole signpainter fart like me that totally enjoys seeing your stripes! I gotta LUV your work on pink background...
So, ya wearing out some brushes, huh?

Thanks all :)
um Jimmy? I'm still learning the new camera, that's lavender, not pink? I HATE pink! lol! Was under an incandescent bulb so color was either too blue or too pink, I was impatient to get pics last night ~ I'm doing the wet on wet colors cuz when I get to do bikes or whatever, I won't have the luxury of waiting for the colors to dry, I'll need to keep going, so in doing all these, by the time I go back to the first design, it's tacked enough the colors lay nice instead of having that bubbly swirly look when 2 puddles try to blend. It all lays nice and smooth .
As for the brush, yes, I think it's worn out. The ends were starting to fray and finally the whole tip is fuzzy now. I can't do nice sharp tips anymore, it does fine for blunt lines as in dagger work, but I like nice sharp ends in some scrolls and doing the wet on wet a blunt ending won't fade right.
I now some folks say their brushes last forever , but look how much paint I've done thru that little brush in the past 2 years? several pints! lol!
Them squirrel tails on top of the gun cabinet are looking awfully tempting though hahaha!
As always Carlene, your striping talent is inspirational! Some beautiful pieces!

I haven't picked up ab or a pencil in a few months, can't get my hand to flow :D...nah will get back into it once my boy is back at school,,,it's amazing how much time your family takes up! (not complaining in a bad way) Anyway keep up the great work!
