That's what this feller says the name of this color is....I have the parts here, this is the color he's thinking for a frame and some accents on an ATV.

doing some searches on the interweb, closest I found was a powder coat...Customer thinks it's a powder coat over a chrome.

I don't know if they make this a ready spray color in paint?...Or maybe kandy lime greenish over yellow or gold or silver base would work?

Any idears out there?

Have you seen it in person? If so does it have the reflectivity of candy powdercoat over chrome?
If yes, you might have to look at a mirror chrome type base, and then candy. If no, then I would be looking at a light yellow/white base with pearl silver/white intercoat, then a lime green candy.

nope, just seen what we have here.

Looks like it has reflective base I'd say..From playing a lot with kandies..Those hot spots really light up in a camera in direct light.

I'm sure it's do-able in paints....Thanks for the color ideas karnage!

Looks alot like a Dupont Hot Hues basecoat color we used on a 57 Chevy a couple of years back....I think it was called "Limetime pearl" or something like that.

Thanks Michael...did some searching on that and found a pic..But no idea where to buy it or even find out what it costs...none of the supply places sell dupont far as I can tell..haha

This pic is supposed to be the dupont hot hues color I guess....Not quite as vibrant as the 1st pics, but could be the base or something doing that..

Worst part of this deal..No biggie painting something large with all these steps and kandies to get the right look..But he wants his racing number on his helmet this color...little things like that...All those damn layers of paint will make a horrible tape edge to deal with..haha...Would like to just find a color that gets close to cut down on the layer build up.

House of kolor has a lime gold kandy basecoat that looks pretty close too.

Ok, I had to pull out my paint chip books to try and refresh my memory and I realized I spoke incorrectly earlier. HOK makes the "Limetime pearl", but what we used on the 57 was called "Midori sour" in the Hot Hues line, but looking at the chart there is also a color called "Lime light" that i've seen used on some streetrods, that has that green antifreeze kinda glow to it....especially when viewed in full sunlight....Hopefully you can find a dealer with a paint chart you can view.....Otherwise your gonna end up trying your own homebrew mixture of lime candy over ?

Yeah I was just looking through a SEM chip book, and I just found a similar colour sundance (yellow candy) over killarney green.

Well, turns out they make a "shocker yellow" in a bc/cc system....The customer ordered it from his powder coat guy.

never heard of the brand before....The stuff is crazy transparent...I used it over a silver base today...purty cool looking....wish there was some sun outside.

I kinda figured you'd get that clear on without wasting any time. That lid looks like it's fresh off the showroom floor lol!! I can't get mine to look like that even after I buff it! MP

These are getting Black Widow spiders all over...Webs, blood, few logos, helmet is going to be a head (eyes on the shield)...should be funky!

That pirate lid I just did was full of stickers to, I just used the 'ol hairdryer and they came right off. That will look killer with the widows on there, especially once you've added your drop shadow shading abilities lol!! MP

I used he ole 80 grit mangle trick...hahaha....Tares the hell outta the surface But I know my primer will hold for damn sure!...LOL

Yeah should be a cool theme...I got it all planned in my noggin, just hope it works out like I see it..lol........He's got a race number that goes on the back of the helmet...Going to make that look like it's cut into the head (so you can see in there, brains, blood and such)...Then make some small spiders crawling out of it.......It'll be like they fell out of the helmet and plopped on the 4 wheeler body....Tiz the plan anyway..haha
