Hi, My friend started to build custom bicycles.
Something like this;

And soon, it would be fun to paint them.
I thought that the pinstripe is good for those areas.
So I have a few questions;
If I use a 1shot paints, i must sand before? and put clear coat after?
"The Virus" Pinstiping Brush - Size 0 and Xcaliber Pinstriping Brush - Size 0000
is good choice for begginer?
I need orginal 1shot Brush Cleaner Ref: HAN-4004 HL-4004 or standart cleaner is enough?
I need a 1shot Hardener or only Reducer?
Sorry for weak question :banghead: but Its quite expensive :hanged:
Regards
Mcdevil

Hey McDevil thats a sweet lookin pushie and will look even cooler once its striped haha, i would start with the Xcaliber or a green wrap mack oo, the one shot can go straight on and doesn't need a clear coat its enamel paint just make sure you wipe it down so there is no wax or grease on the surface, also use the one shot reducer if you can and clean up with turpintine, simple as that oh and lots of practice lol. Good luck keep us posted

If you are clearing over the 1 shot believe you will need the 4007 hardener, but don't use with an acrylic clear, the reducers are generally temp related have a look here.

Good people, can give them a ring as well an they will sort you out.

yeah like they said, you can, but you have to use an additive. Mostly the one that is being used by whatever clear being applied. But I've read mixed reviews on clearing. 1shot is oil based and oil and whatever paint , automotive don't mix.
I'd rather wait til it's cleared THEN stripe.

HOKs now, you HAVE to clear those. But once you lay a line down, you can't wipe it off if you don't like it. With 1shot on a smooth surface, you can.

I've 2k cleared over one shot without any additive quite a few times with no problems, i just let the one shot dry for a couple of days before hitting it with the clear, just go lightly with the first coat, hope this helps.
