that place is BEAUTIFUL, O MY GOD, INVITE ME OVER!! Air, your absolutely correct i never realized the smog and stuff until you pointed it out, its funny you said that, because when i leave the city (thats like once and blue moon) im always commenting on the air, that smell that is weird, like its so clean, is that grass and trees that smell like that? Than i start to sneeze like crazy from all that fresh air..Im use to the dirt clog in my lungs, allergic to freshness, it seems to always tickle my nose at first...lol

HOLY SHIT, THERE ARE SOME DEER IN YOUR YARD, did ya even notice that sharon, there are live deer in your back yard!!!!!!!! Is that your front yard, the lake with the jetskis, MAN YOUR LUCKY, you must have a lot of piece and quiet there, but when it gets dark there, i wouldnt want to be left alone, who knows whos up in those woods....Are there fish in that lake? do you fish, right there in your front yard? now that seems like fun..all i do is jump from cab to cab, see stinky subways, and listen to loud horns all night, ooo and dont forget the daily bums that i step over every morning going to work, and have to listen to all hours of the night with there yelling and screaming, man i didnt even know a place could look that beautiful and look so peaceful unless it was on tv,,:animal-smiley-043: but i was thinking about it and thought since ive been raised here, maybe up there in those woods, i would be lonely because im so use to this nyc mess?
you can get a lot of painting done when there's nothing but the bugs bothering ya Nat,hehe....:clapping2:

It's bad were I live.
When I look out the windows, I can't see anthing for the trees.
And in the summer, the sound of boats and wave runners, ripping up the lake a quarter mile from the yard.
It's everyday!!
On the subject of yards there is the constant time outside keeping up on the 2 acres. Way to relaxing.
And in the winter, after a snow, the silence can drive you mad.
It's a 45 minute drive if I want to catch a bus for cryin out loud!!!!

Thanks Dell, I could see where the turkeys would be a pain for some. But everything out here is different I guess all the critters get along with each other. I had the shop open yesterday & was putting My drafting table together & had the sense I was bein watched. I turned around slowly and there was a 8 point buck white tail standing right behind Me. He just turned around sniffed My shop cats & walked back out slowly. I do have to admit, I was a tad nervous though. But it turned out to be the highlight of my day, & no new scars. lol. Cowboy

Xzotic those are great pictures of the city. I was there a couple of years ago for work. My wife and I would love to come back out there to spend some more time in the city. I do have to say it is really over whelming when you first see the city. I don't know how anyone drives there. There are to many crazy drivers and I would never get into a taxi again out there. They are nuts. I thought I saw my life flash before my eyes a couple of times in the taxi.

Natalie, i,m glad you enjoyed them, I hope I didn,t hijack Yer thread. I figured since everyone else was sharing i would.
Yes, theres actually several racoons in that pic. & cats eating side by side. At least out here there not mean & play well together. I have one inside cat, thats never been outside, He sits for hours looking at the critters as they do Him, 2 shop cats I raised from a week old Hawks ,owls or eagles , got there Mom. and around 50 outside cats. Litter boxes for all. A big sandpile for the outside ones. So beleive it or not no nasty smells. as long as I take care of business.
I also had a buffalo ( Buford ) for awhile, He was sick when i got Him & I tried to nurse Him back to health with no luck. As sick as it may sound His Skull ( after being cleaned properly ) is in the house And Tends to our hats for Us. The only Critters I will kill are skunks ( rabid ) & coyotes that kill just to be killing, other than that I let everything up to mother nature. Sorry I know to much info. Cowboy

hey ICEWOLFwhen your in the city next time come by with your wife and ill hook ya up with some nice xzotic ink wear, youll either head home looking like tourist or some NYC punks,,,lol,,it will be my wedding present to you!!lol....yep, the driving is TERRIBLE, AND PARKING SUCKS!! every morning at 9 am i have to move the car to another side of the street and even on saturdays , sundays aint too bad,,,DRIVING IS BUMPER TO BUMPER IN CERTAIN AREAS, when you live here you learn the short cuts to get around that stuff,,,ill give ya them all next time you come...COWBOYno please, post all you want, i find it so interesting how people live, in what type of environment, and i am so foreign to certain things,,I LIVE IN LA LA LAND, TOO MUCH TV, my mind runs away with me,,,CARTOONS< AND disney channel, MAKES ME LIVE IN MAKE BELIEVE LAND,,,LOL,,,example london, is very rainy and cobblestone streets, and has alot of chimmeny sweepers, people wearing black suits all the time,,,yep mary poppins,,,,and africa, is full of just lions and elephants in your back yard and so EVERYONE WHO WANTS to post there pads, MAY POST...Give me some knowledge,,,HOLY CRAP 50 CATS,,,,A BIG PILE OF SAND FOR POOPS!! Thats a lot of litter boxes, i use to do this thing where i brought home strange cats all the time and i started feeding them,,well than the neighborhood would ring my bell and say can i have my cat back,,and the funny thing is years later, a lady did the same to my cat, and she bribed him to keep going to visit her, and i got soooo jealous, i rang her bell and asked for my cat back,,,,IM A REAL CAT LOVER...when my cats got old and died,,i asked my mom were the cats are,,she said they went for a long walk? I was like a LONG WALK? WELL GO GET THEM,,find them,i put posters up,. and she finally told me, she sat me down, and said "when a cat gets sick they take long walks to find place to lay down and rest forever," meaning die,,,so when my new cat wanted to go out i freaked and thought he was gonna go for a long walk...lol...But the buffalo thing is FREAKIN ME OUT, that creepie,,everyday you see its skull,,i dont know about that one, i got cousins in the hills somewhere that are hunters and do some cruel shit,,they hang the deer on there lawn for 3 days, it some cool hunter right to hang the deer as pride or to dry out in your lawn for the first 3 days of killin,,,,CRAZY STUFF..THEY ALSO PAINTED HIS NOSE WITH NAIL POLISH RED, AND TOLD ME AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS THEY CAUGHT BAMBI,,,also messed up, a good way to screw up a kids christmas..lol

I know Nat, sounds creepy, but keep in Mind I did everything to save it. Plus the Guy I got it from handled my lil buddy after the fact. Because I couldn,t . I hunted as a Kid , but no longer could , unless it would be for survival.
He took Buford back & handled Him properly & thought I would like to keep Him alive in My thoughts. So not Quite as creepy as it sounds. If its got four legs Or wings its perty safe with me. Other than that, My place aint one to go nosing around . Trespassers or thieves are on their own. If Ya know what I mean, Cowboy

yeah sharon, but all that niceness screws ya up in the long run,,,lol,,,cowboy,i was trying to reply yesterday while you were on line but lost connection,,your right there, no trespassers on my uncles property,,,,but in nyc, forget it,,especially as a female, (this does not happen all the time, so dont be afraid to ever visit the city, its just safety precautions) you must always watch what your doing, no privacy, the street bums are always in your garbage, they drift behind your building , they hide in corners, and even try to pitch tent on the roofs of your building, not my building because i have a door man,i carry mase all the time,,,but at night you have night stalkers, so i always walk in the middle of the street late at night, too many corners and dark streets,,,its funny my uncle who lives in the woods, is afraid of city folk and us, we are like we are afraid of woodsmen,,its a back and forth battle,,,but i would not want to get caught messin around on my uncles property late at nights,,hell come out shooting!! thats great cowboy, sounds like a nice living environment,,,were my uncle lives, they hunt all the time, i did skeet shooting one time with my uncle and he told me to plant the gun in my shoulder, the kick back was so hard, it broke my shoulder, plus i was little, i must of flew back couple feet,,lol,,my shoulder was black not blue,,,BUT I HIT IT ON THE FIRST TRY,,,yeah its completely different living,,,he gets to do more activities like jet skiing in the lake, fishing, and pitchin camp in a win a bagel, lots of cool nature stuff, and all for free,,,,us city folk, just see cars and buses, and the tv all day, anything fun has to be paid for,,,,,nothing nature here,,we have the bronx zoo but its terrible, and central park zoo, there might be like 5 animals in the whole zoo,,SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF FUN OUT WHERE YOU GUYS ARE,,,thats so SWEEET!!
