I don't do many of these... not sure why, but here is one I created for a friends bike...33240 I guess with skullmasters like Mob and Tomas around, it satisfied any urge I had for creating them.. anyhow, a friend requested it and here is the result..

Bob, to be able to do a field sketch and then build from that is true talent in my eyes...I wish I could sit long enough to do that..
I saw a woman at a Dinosaur museum we took the kidlets to a month ago, doing that as well...just sitting there sketching the Dinosaur skeletons in the museum...she looked like the most relaxed and happy person in the place!!

I dont know if I posted these a year ago or not...but here are some older hardhats for my biggest and best client, I apologize for the 'twisted' subject matter...he wanted something crazy and demented looking...so there it is...

Thanks for kind comments, MOB - not sure about talent, but I've gotten into the "Zen" of field sketching over many years, and it really does commit brain to the essence of subject matter.

Bob - She looks so snobby!!! Like an old school librarian!!! (sorry to you are librarians :D) You have captured it perfectly. I must say I have never tried field drawing, i don't particularly care for people lookiing over my shoulder.....i might give it a go one day :unsure:

Ya Sharon, I couldn't remember if I had shown those hardhats or not,,,been so many of 'em!!
I know I havent shown these ones yet...just finished up the flame licks tonight...
2 more to do then clear,,,(I hate the clearing part!!!)
The pic of the 5 gallon pail with the pillow on it is my most comfortable shop seat...I was complaining about sitting on a bucket and how uncomfortable it was, so my VERY thoughtful daughter proceeded to go into the house, pull her Barbie Princess pillow off of her bunk bed and bring it to me to sit on...that was a pretty cool day! (man I have great kids!!)

Mob those are some cool hats, And you have a very thoughtful daughter, Mine would have told me to just suck it up and be a man.....LOL (She gets that from me I guess:) )

Something just doesn't register right in my brain when I think about Mike sitting on a paint bucket with a Barbie Princess pillow on it to cushion his tush. It's just wrong I tell you... wrong. I'm just going to plug my ears with my fingers, close my eyes and scream LA LA LA LA at the top of my lungs and envision Mike sitting on something manly like one of those expensive Snap-On Tool roll around stools. It's the only way I can keep my sanity. :)

Nice work from everyone so far... I especially like the turtle burgers. JimmyG and I have already made it a pact to grill up some turtle burgers the next time we get together.

Oh, and all of the art is fantastic too! Keep it coming.

Hey Herb, I think you and I have the same outlook on things, the catch phrase in our house is man up princess (Mainly from my 2 girls), My eldest tells me this often. You've been busy this last couple of weeks and have done some killer work, well done.

Mob, I love your skulls, really makes me want to give them a go every time I see them.

Norm, That looks awesome, I would be happy with that.

Bob, I take my hat off to you, I've tried to paint animals a few times, they don't look any where near as good as yours.

Oh for all the ones who say they are going to try the Bacon Turtle It ROCKS!!! I show it to a guy I work with and he went straight home and started cooking some up and broought them in yesterday at work.... Heart attack never !!! Stuffed Belly Yep!!

A lot of Inspiring work shown this week . I think Mob needs to change his name to hardhat king...LOL that is a lot of hats.

Bandit if seeing something makes you want to try and paint it go paint it. That is what I do. Some of it comes out killer some sucks But I learn from everything I do:)
