Worked on my Dale Earnhardt helmet theme today. Using same picture as last week's practice piece... but man, working on curved surfaces is quite different than a flat surface!

Wow, quantum leap Tim, I am shocked, and so impressed!
Josie, Lenny, what awesome work as well, holy cow, gotta find some time to keep up, you guys are rockin'!
Hi Luc! Good to see you! Yep, another animal altogether when its curved. I remember when I did my helmet, even though its just vector art and little airbrush effect, I had to cut the mask into several pieces and then patch it up once applied......

Tim!!!! Run downstairs and shoot some rattle-can clear on those flames and repost it!!!! Dude it will "POP" once you melt that clear on it.:clapping2:

Hey Tim, Clear coat "POP" Looks Great!
How did you create the brushed metal effect on the second piece? Sand paper? while still somewhat wet?
You have to reveal the techno!!!:clapping2:

Cool effect Tim!!!! Looking forward to the how to.
I am shooting the flames from some recipe's that were created for the the AA paints. I couldn't get the same effects that the cook book steps showed....I am experimenting.....:wink2: I am seeing some little tricks with the paint mixtures that aren't revealed in the how to's that I am using.....I will play some more with the fire and the paint's, and let you all know in a vodoo how to.....
It is very interesting how a few drops of white can make an orange or a yellow appear less "GREEN" upon a black background, and still give you the transparent effect of multiple layers.
A buddy of mine shoots white for each color change....and that just blows the transparent effect for multiple layers away. Henceforth, no depth to his fire.
First T. unfinished.
everyone's stuff looks tight.
