Anyone have any idea of what possible clear has a bit of 'flex' in it?

I have a mate at work who's 15 year old son is now confined to a wheelchair due to leukemia, and he's keen to have the wheel trims from the chair 'pimped'!!!
They are a fairly thin plastic that have a bit of give in them so whatever I finish it with will have to have some flex.

I'm keen to do a great job for this brave lad, so want to finish them to a high, but durable finish!!

I'm not an expert here, but I've heard Whit talk about using castor oil as a reducer for enamel based paint to lend flexibility to it.

Clear is pretty flexible anyway...Ive cleared stretched canvas with Auto clear...Any ATV fender flexes and bends during normal use....It just has a limit..If the part is going to be bent in half, will probably crack...But up till that point youd be surprised how much regular hardened clear will flex with nothing added.

Scuze please,,, most of my info is 'ol school related,,,
we used lacquer back then,, the castor oil made it
rubbery/flexable for floormats/etc to match paint !!!

I'm with Dell, most clears are fairly flexible. But I still put a flex additive in it on certain applications.
