Pity about the quality of the pic, looks a great first effort, with some nice texture

hey everyone i need help... what should be done to refine this pic?
Rik, looks good for a first... perhaps tighten the fur texture, but can't really tell by the quality of the pic. Are you using the red of the base paint as the base for the tiger?

Like Norm is red the base, generally it is easier to mask the outline, spray some white lightly, spray in the rough dark areas, spray a bit of highlights, remember the direction that the fur is flowing, and use the dagger stroke (well I do) to build the fur layers, but there are lots of methods for doing fur.

looks great.. You need to work close to you object.. the closer you are the tighter the lines..
there are some great How to's here.. http://www.airbrushtech.info/AIRBRUSH/forum/forumdisplay.php?44-How-To-Articles
gives you some referances for how to do fur, shading, skulls,, etc...

thanks norm, andy and sharon... i painted the side cover with its original base color. did light clear coat.. sanded it a bit.. printed an outline of the tiger on a plain coupon.. set it on and do AB white background... did some black with the tiger's dark spots.. secured some stranded electrical wire.set it and AB through it above the dark spots.

yep i should hav use finer strands of wires... problem with the focus of light too,, ayt? and kinda use just plain coupon as template.. should hav mask it like what others use to do and worked on details on every part of it.

oh i remember did brushed the fur with this fine brush ladies use with their blush on lol... sanded it coz it resulted in a very rough texture.. soften it up a bit with AB n the aid of stranded wire. used white as base of the tiger.. sad, color mixed up when i did clear coating so highlighted it again with white.. no top coat yet in that pic
