I went to the national hobby expo in chicago this past weekend and stopped by the custom colors booth (house of color paints for the hobby industry) They are scaling down some of the Craig Fraser stencils for the 1/24 scale auto builder. stencils displayed at the show include tiki madness, bullet ridden, flyballs, multiple 2, slash and old school. these were about 3"x3" and then in the Artool booth they are downsizing alot more of the Fraser and other stecils for use on 1/10 scale r/c car bodies. more stecil selection in the 1/10 series including a downsized stencil with dvd of true fire from Mike Lavalle. these were about 6"x6"
These stencils are all made from the same material as the regular ones. I'm excited about these since I build models and now I can't finnish a revell chopper I am working on until these come out. but I see alot more potential with these if you are spraying any other surface like a tshirt or small metal items on a full scale motorcycle.....flying eyeballs on a swing arm anyone?or some skulls ghosted onto a spedometer housing?? hell ,I even saw some people on here painting mailboxes for the love of god!!!!! :)

I paint mailboxes all the time. Great for practice and cheap. Gonna have my son learn airbrushing using mailboxes and sell em on ebay. Mailboxes????How bout toilet seats?? If it will hold paint I will paint it. No elephants on a guy though, gotta draw the line somewhere.

OOOOOOh they are talking about elephants!
oops
I don't qualify for elephants I don't believe... at least the last time I checked I wasn't.
Sorry half asleep. Very tired this morning. Trying to get the board moving with anything I can think of.
Happy birthday gal

Any idea when they will be in the stores? I've made some of my own with masking material but it would be great to have the real thing!! :clapping2:

the mini stencils by fraiser are in some walmarts now , have to look in the model paint area, toy section.
though my lil town aint quite up there in models , I got mine from a freind in cali, traded some paint :D
they are pretty cool. I did a small candy tin with some~
will be perfect for some of the die-casts I want to do up later .
Check http://www.kustomkolorpaints.com/kustomkolor/storelist.jsp for a store listing near you, or call www.coastairbrush.com .

I got the new issue of Airbrush Action last night and Artool has a notice about the mini templates. You can see them at www.arttoolproducts.com. Gotta try these out.
