Just like the title says. I was watching Ed Hubbs true fire vid and he said you have to paint your fire a differnt way. Anybody know that way?

I want to totally flame out my 02 silverado and its all white. Dont want to paint it black to much work. lol......

yeah, looks best when ya create a black smokey background..Makes sense right, fire has smoke...But that gives yer fire it's spiffy black base to go off.

Silver base but tiz close, would work the same on white...If fire is yer thing you have to oogle this feller too, Patrick Guyton, he won Lavalle's fire contest with that truck.

the kandies that you use in real fire, like the kandy red, orange and yellow, all look really 'muddy' when sprayed on white or lighter colored backgrounds...
this is funny, 'cause the Patrick Guyton silver Tundra was the exact project I was going to refer you to!! It is the PERFECT example of how to do fire on a light background...(and ya, his work is SICK!!!!! Definately a guy who's art you want to emulate!)
Anyway, if you don't want real fire colors, you can always do a evil looking black fire...basically just firey shapes with no color...looks like a living, breathing mist has taken over the vehicles surface...dark, but cool...and no pesky color mixing!!
Good luck buddy!!
