this time for a client who wanted ideas for a tailgate mural,,,

I'll develop it more and post the final sketch once finished..

Well it certainly seems like you have the nack for detailed pencil work as well as airbrushing. I have to ask, how are you with a hairy brush? No doubt about it... you're an artist.

you know Ron? I have never tried to paint a piece with a hairy brush...never! I only use a hairy brush to achieve some details in my airbrush work..even that has dropped off drastically in the last few years with the micron!

I like building ideas in a sketchpad.. than comping it up in Photoshop... you did a great job on the sketches.. try those hairy brushes.. you'd be surprised at the results. I think you would take to it like a fish to water.

I used to draw EVERY day...not so much lately!
I almost NEVER draw a concept picture, so this is new for me...
I will do photshop layouts of very complex designs, just for image placement, but after the surface is prepped, I just wing it!! (but I'm a big dummy, so that's what dummy's do I guess!!)
