What I first thought when I saw that sketch was a local folk artist named Billy Roper who paints on upright bass instruments. http://georgiapickandbow.org/Georgia_Pick_%26_Bow/Billy_Roper_Bass.html . Your design would fit on a bass fiddle with a few modifications, and would look awesome after you add color.

Colour is coming :-) don't be surprised if the whole image disappears - it's been known to happen:-)

The guy that paints the instruments actually reminds me of Klimt - long shot I know but that was my instant reaction :-)

Yes, Roper is sort of Klimtish like, but not as near Symbolic as Klimt was. Your art is probably more along the style of Klimt than Roper's is, but they all fit into the same genre. I'd love to see a mockup sketch with color of something you could paint on a fiddle or upright bass, or even an acoustic guitar. It might be a hit, you never know.

I've always been able to see faces in odd designs (patterned wallpaper, random swirley's). I even seen faces in tree branches, god I hope this isn't like hearing voices lol! lookin good so far Kim. MP

Hey Maxx :-) I was just reading the chat between you and rcarbone - this is how I start an acrylic - it's plain black paint on canvas the rest will follow as it comes - it is straight from my head .......give it a go:-) it's good fun ...go for it, grab a big piece of paper and see what happens ...you may even have to listen to those voices;-) .....just don't tell anyone.....................

I'm getting to that point like I was saying earlier. I know I can draw, that skull I added to my reaper was just on the fly without no ref. I just need to sit down with some paper and see what's in my head....might be kinda scary lol!! MP

Thanks Norm , it's always a bit of adventure - especially if I'm in a mood :-).....Maxx, yep, I have done some airbrushing, most of it is in the Sunday shows. I think I first strated posting in Feb this year :-) and do gave a go at letting your mind loose - you never know what you will come up with. It's also a lot of fun :-)

Hi Norm :-) It's good to be back - I've missed everyone
Now that the weather is warming up over here, I've decided to come out of hibernation

It's coming along - these acrylics really do have a mind of their own, I don't have much control over them ha ha
it will probably re-invent itself a couple of times before it's finished :-)

Wow. It's starting to scream "album cover for angry rock music". Like late 80's Johnette Napolitano (of Concrete Blonde). I really like it.

Today I played paint !!!!:-)

and hubby took a photo - apparently I was in the zone didn't even know he took the photo - or maybe it's the wine. Ignore my hand down my pants :-) it's usually in my pocket - oh god how embarrisment I don't even know I'm doing it :-)
