Lynne,
Butterfy looks nice and crisp. Did you do the lettering on the sleeve by using a cut mask like the one you wore at Cobo?

Forgive me Father of ABtech, for I have sinned. It has been far far too long since my last confession (like, never)... I....I have had impure thoughts Father, I have had thoughts of stencils not of my own making. (gasp) I know, I know... I could find the reference, I could draw my own, I could do it all...but Father, this was so cheap (like, free) and easy... so I succumbed.
Tell me Father...what should I do? (I'm thinkin three Hail Iwata's and ...?)
(My apologies to the devout, but I douldn't resist)
The Skull mailbox is from a Mickey Harris stencil, yeah, a stencil. I hate doing skulls, guys, I really do. I'd rather not focus on the dead, if you know what I mean. I'd rather focus on the living. Especially if he's shirtless.
The wood/metal mailbox...only "stencil" there was torn paper, and a circle template. I think that one is my favourite.
The demo panel is just me screwing around. There's a little brushed metal in there, a little blood....funky not quite marble.... and the tribal, I don't wanna talk about the tribal. I love doing woodgrain. It's a riot. Just scotchbrite, dry brush, trans over the top, voila.
Some Great Lookin Work Showin Up Here !!!
Posted this earlier in another post,, but,,,
I'll thro it here as well for a show post !!!
Customer comes in,, says he's got a prob !!!!!
Go out,, take a look,, says local police givin
him a headache on tha street when he drives !!!
Seems he needs to put some bathing suits on his
lil pick-up because of a public display thing !!!
Came to me because of references to airbrushing !!!
Needless to say,, he dose'nt want to spend much !!!
We all know how $$$ airbrush work is on vehicles !!!
Long story,, short !!! VINYL !!!
No pics before,, but use your imagination and you'll
be pretty close on what was there !!!
After pricing airbrush/clearcoat,,, jumped on a
$100 for tha vinyl stick ons !!!
At least later,, can be removed !!!

Great stuff you guys! Here is all that I got done. It is a running theme with my last piece, my teacher at ASU likes that idea, and is called My Sacrifice. It will be a stone carving with the hand being life like, and the flower will be more represented as a female body part, which is an idea my friend used in the attached piece as well. It will also have the Celtic knots along the side, even though the stone I was looking at is in a Swedish museum for Vikings. It is hard to see unless you blow it up by clicking on it.

Some good looking stuff again.
Lynne, I really love the nailheads on the woodgrain. The smooth sided mailboxes are easier to mask and paint aren't they?

I did these flaming chevy bowties on thursday for a drag car...this is probably the fifth or sixth time its been painted so who knows how long these'll last. This was a quick deal: called me weds, I painted it thurs afternoon, it left fri morning so I won't get pics of it cleared. Which sucks cuz it would look a lot better!

This is great Aerarts....im sure i would not have been able to this this after a few hours of airbrushing...probably not even today...lol..........the bones looks so real it rocks:)
And we're off again!! What's cheesy about that shirt? It's gorgeous, (note to self, must try a shirt)! Clinton you jnow what I think of these guys, Kevin, can't see your image mate but it does intrique me, Jason nice style on the fridge and finally the mailboxes look great, especially the wood effect.
What I've attached is part of a How to for my first class of Airbrush Basics this weekend, I would really like your opinion on this as I would hope that students would be able to produce this on the day after a few hours of tuition. I am only doing the basics for people who have little or no experience. Let me know what you think please.
Remember I have kept it simple and it's done using only lines, dots, daggers and shading. The things i will show the students.

Here are some parts from the harley from hell cleared , other parts from the flame burgundy bike, and a special little something that took two and a half years of my life. The painting you see is actualy 12 feet high and 8 feet across. There wher4e four of these devided in three. Twelve sections total. This project was a heritage restoration church project. See guys i just dont always paint naked women , which i prefer by the way. ALWAYS he he he he .the original paintings where carbon dated around 95 to 100 years old. Needless to say lots of cleaning and special care before matching oils to restore these things.

Hi everyone. Great work here tonight wooooooooooooooo I really hate to follow all that!!..LOL My stuff seems so stupid now..I was excited about 5 minutes ago...LOL Oh well here it goes
My daughter dances in a review in june (shes 10) They were asking parents to help with it. So I volenteered with set design. All the cutouts I did will get cut around later and get back braces made so they can stand. There will be 5 themes. I was only given the go ahead for the age 5 and under cartoons and the detective themes(pink panther).
