max- your work gets better and better! I wish I had more airbrush work coming in..

I've spent a few days playing with my latest job, a carbon race bike in for a refinish. The guy asked me for matt black, but with gloss red stripes and gloss white logos. I experimented with this: sprayed up the red and white patches, then cleared, then masked out and sprayed a 2k matt black straight over.. Its done the job, but Im not convinced a matt finish is practicle on something that gets so dirty and grimy. Also the gloss areas will be impossible to keep polished up without polishing up the matt finish.. Im not yet convinced. Also got a bit of an edge build up of black around the masks which wil come away but it makes the edge a bit jagged. As a perfectionist, Im not too happy :)

Max, I love the 3 eagles. All great work, puts my stuff to shame, but one day my paintings will be as good as the rest.
Here is a fairy and flowers I did during what I call my life slump. It is the better of a couple attemps at painting.
I'll show better in the future, I promise.

Mine this week from a Paint/Body shop,,, sign,, illustration,,,
the illustration sits above the sign,, beveled painted letters,,
all oilbase enamels with 2-part clear coat,,, illustration is cut-out MDO !!!

Well here is my out of the slump painting. I think it came out good except for the left hand, it looks funky.
I'll include the reference so you can see it's the same but different. LOL
