This is my first attempt at colour portrait. I used translucent inks. The first i did just in charcoal and grey with white highlights. These are my course artworks, learnig how to airbrush photo realistic portraits. 14 weeks in and only another 40 or so weeks to go. Had never attempted portraits until i started this course.

Here is is finished. Husband clear coated for me since I can't anymore. My clear coat is more glossy than his but he didn't have the runs :) He did it in 3 light coats on top of what was already there. I tried my best to get a photo. You can see some of the shimrin that I added to the sand to make it look wet and I put some on the moon but you can't see it here. I like it now. The gloss made all the difference. I am going to have one of our associates write "Subaru" in Japanese to put to the right of the mermaid. :) I still have to do the tail gate but one thing at a time. I might wait till next year to do that.
