Hey Ron, or anyone who knows, just wondering what happened to the links that earn the forum pennies for each view?
All I have are the words, but thay are not links.
Their links here,,, just went thru a nickle I think !!!

Google has changed their policy and don't pay much for click throughs any longer. I used to earn a whopping 35 cents per month with this board. Now it's about 4 cents. I'll probably never see another check from them. The links are still there, at least with Explorer 9.

Thanks Ron, was just wondering. I'll have to upgrade from 8 to 9 and see if the links work.

It is my humble understanding that to upgrade to IE 9, one needs to be on the Win7 platform which i ain't there yet as it's hard to teach an ole gnome new tricks....? maybe this fiscal new year and a new byte crunching box will launch me forth....
Speaking of forum pennies, methinks it's dew time to pour out my 5 gallon jugs of pennies ina big pile and cull out the 1982 forward zinc cores and sell the 95% copper oldies for double the face value in meltable copper....
As far as I can tell, the 1982 forward copper plated zinc cores are best inflated by laying them on railroad tracks and lying in wait to recover the squashed flakes for making dragonskin chain mail.....
LOL Whit....the 1946 to 2011 Nickels are holding their intrinsic base metal value right on....
the 1982 to 2011 pennies are only worth a half cent now, and 1965 to 2011 dimes are only worth a penny intrinsic base metal value....same goes with quarters....
If not for our new-fangled coin counting technology machines found at walmart and some grocery stores, it does not even pay anymore to save or hoard our blessed coins, much less trying to save blessed paper bucks that fly outa our pockets so quickly....
What's a poor ole gnome to do, shred my dollar bills to make a better house salad....? at least i grew some peppers & tomatoes this year and got some vidalia onion dressiing to make it even more palatable....

Don't reject your pennies Jimmy. There are some pennies in circulation still that are worth at least a dollar. We'd have to talk about the kerning on the lettering from the mis-stamped coins. I wore out a pair of 5X magnification glasses and wasted an entire Saturday afternoon inspecting pennies I had accumulated in a 5 gallon pickle jar over the last 30 years or so. Pulled over $100.00 worth of collectable pennies out of it though... not counting the wheat backs I found. Steel pennies from WWII are really valuable. They look like regular pennies, but make a distinctive sound when dropped on a surface.
Also, always look at the serial numbers on your currency. A US bill in half decent shape with a RADAR serial code will be worth at least 5X face value. RADAR meaning reading the same forwards as backwards, for example a $5 spot with a serial of 12344321 will bring you $20 with a collector. Even better, if you have a double RADAR, meaning the leading code ahead of the serial and trailing code after the serial match, it might bring you 20X face value if in good condition.
Watch those state quarters as well. Some of them are worth 3-5 times face value, and are only getting more valuable due to the limited number that were made for most states. Find a "mint" quality state quarter, throw it in a jar and save it for harder times. It'll likely be worth over a buck when you take it to a coin dealer.
