I previously posted my first practice dots and lines.
Here are some a few days later and after I solved, thanks to the good people here, some issues with my brush.
I have a lopng way to go but I will keep practicing my lines dots and daggers(which need the most work). Also a meager attempt at a 3D globe....
C&C always welcome

Words of advice...
I see from your "dagger" strokes and a few other spots,
that you are NOT concentrating on the "lead in", aswell as the follow through.
This is very important.
My airbrush never stops moving in sweeps, arcs and lines, but my paint only hits the paper when I want it to.
It appears that you are aiming at a start point, shooting and then moving your airbrush. This gives you "blob" ends (or starts!) to your lines and arcs.
Work on keeping your airbrush moving and practice the "line control" procedures, concentrate on that lead in and lead out movement.
Other than that, I see potential!
(ps when it comes to this kind of criticism, I may be blunt...but sugarcoating will not help anyone progress.)

When Dave is being serious!!!!! Listen:wink2: You have caught him in his special place...Instructor of 3-D Illusion...the eye being tricked!!!
P.S This is really the only time that I really pay any attention to him....unless I am drunk and looking for a fight or looking for someone to annoy!!!!!!:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Serious now Dave...Thanks!!!!
Doing good Moose. I'm still fighting to get the paint pressure right. I have been using trans colors and finally picked up some regular paint to try. Most likely just me. Did notice that every color does act a little different.

Absolutely right Clem!
I have found that most reds and oranges seem to have more of a red or orange tone to them.
and Blues, well...they are always showing off these blue colours.
Lets not get into whites and blacks...they are in a world of their own!!

Dave,
When it comes to critique of my practice submissions BLUNT is what I am looking for. Youwere correct on the daggers I was starting withthe brush still then moving for the switch. I will have to work on the moving start for daggers as well as lines.
The post you put up on practive strokes was a big help Thanks...

Clem those were done with createx opaque air brush paints sprayed thru a VL with a 3 tip. PSI was 30.

I believe I run higher pressures with Createx.
Its a fairly thick paint, even if it is an airbrush paint.
I'm sure that I paint with 45-60psi.
(even higher on fabric, because you need the penetration)
try different pressures, to see how things change.
